Kitchenaid dishwasher top rack falling apart Gerald S. • York , PA • February 02, 2016
Ordered numerous replacement parts. Started with the tracks which required pulling the washer out of the cabinet to reach the screws. Pushed it back in and re-secured. Then stared on the rack and replaced the rack adjusters and various clips. Everything is straight forward and easy to replace. I originally called a local repair place to have them repair it. They came out and said they needed to order parts and they would call back. A week went by and I followed up with them. Had to leave...

The Water Level Float is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. It helps regulate the water level within the dishwasher by rising with the water level and signaling the control board to shut off the water inlet valve when the appropriate level is reached.
Causes of a bad water level float can include wear and tear, mineral buildup or debris obstructing its movement, or damage due to mishandling. Over time, these issues can prevent the float from moving freely or accurately signaling the water level.
Symptoms of a bad water level float include:
- Dishwasher overfilling or underfilling
- Water leaks during the wash cycle
- The dishwasher not completing cycles correctly
- Error codes related to water level issues
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Rusty racks crumbling silverware basket obstructed discharge valve clogged mesh on the food grinder Yuriy M. • Mountain View , CA • May 15, 2015
Just replaced the things. Had to reuse old tine rows, rollers, the spray arm, etc., i.e. I removed 'em from the old racks and put on the new ones, but that was piece of cake. Also, I cleaned the food grinder and the discharge valve compartment (thank you very ???? ???? much, Internet), so spray arms around the top rack get enough water pressure now. I didn't have to buy any parts for the latter part of this little repair project, though.

Kitchenaid dishwasher leaking on bottom left of door Neil D. • Centerbrook , CT • January 14, 2017
First tried replacing the seal around the door as that was the simple and most logical fix. Still leaked. Removed the front and upper panel to inspect. Found calcium deposit running down from under the Air Vent Assembly and wet behind the black stick-on insulation. Easy to trace the leak to the bottom of the door.
=> Ordered new Air Vent Assembly, gasket and Vent Deflector.
Parts arrived. Took 5 minutes to remove upper panel. Removed the two wires from the Air Vent Assembly. Inserted a...

- Difficulty in sliding the dishwasher racks.

The Insulation is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers, specifically engineered to enhance the appliance's efficiency by reducing heat loss and minimizing noise. This insulation wraps around the dishwasher, acting as a barrier that keeps heat within the appliance during cycles and dampens the sound of its operation, making for a quieter kitchen environment.
Causes of a bad insulation part can include wear and tear over time, moisture damage leading to mold or mildew buildup, or physical damage from pests or mishandling during installation or repairs.
Symptoms of inadequate insulation include:
- Noticeable increase in the dishwasher's noise level
- Exterior surfaces of the dishwasher feeling warmer than usual
- Longer wash cycles due to inefficient temperature maintenance
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

Symptoms of a bad diverter motor include:
- Dishes not being cleaned properly
- Unusual noises coming from the dishwasher during operation
- The dishwasher not advancing through cycles correctly
- Water not reaching all areas of the dishwasher
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Leaking from the bottom of the dishwasher Chuck H. • Rochester Hills , MI • October 17, 2015
Removed and replaced diverter motor. Ops check good, no more leaking. I'm guessing the seal was the problem but diverter ruined (water residue) from leaking over the last 5 years??? This seal is only available if you buy the tub so followed another review - removed diverter then gently pried out the seal, cleaned and then lubed with silicone grease. Also turned the seal 180 degrees or the opposite way before reinstalling the diverter and then wrapping it all back under the counter.

The Nut is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. This nut secures the float switch, a key component in regulating the water level within the dishwasher. The float switch ensures your dishwasher does not overfill by triggering the water to stop once it reaches a certain level.
Over time and with regular use, the nut that holds the float switch in place can become loose or damaged. This could potentially allow water to seep through gaps, leading to leaks, or could cause the float switch to malfunction, affecting the dishwasher's ability to regulate water levels accurately.
Symptoms of a faulty Nut include:
- Water leaks from the base of the dishwasher
- The dishwasher overfills or underfills
- Unusual noises during operation
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.
