Latch would not open consistently on detergent dispenser James G. • Waxhaw , NC • January 12, 2015
Appeared to be two problems: the latch was worn and one of the pins that slid in a guide on the actuator located in the inner panel had broke off. Detergent lid spring and pin appeared to be OK but decided to replace since I was aready working on it. I ordered all the inner panel mechanism from the control arm to the latch actuator on the inner panel. The repair was successful as the detergent dispenser now opens during its cycle.

The Deflector is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool dishwashers. Located in the lower corners of the tub, this component works to prevent leaks by keeping water from entering the cracks along the tub edges.
Causes of a bad corner deflector can include cracks, chips, or breaks from repeated impact or stress over time. Mineral buildup can also cause deflectors to warp or become misshapen, reducing their effectiveness.
Symptoms of a bad corner deflector include:
- Water leaks or moisture inside the cabinet below the dishwasher
- Puddles or drips near tub corners after cycles
- Mineral residue or pooling in lower tub corners
Replacing the corner deflector with a new OEM part restores a tight seal to prevent water from entering cracks and causing leaks or damaged components inside the cabinet.
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Leaking at bottom of my dishwasher ( whirlpool model ) Stephen V. • Port St Lucie , FL • November 15, 2015

I was able to go to Whirlpool website and obtain the part codes that I need to replace and found this website to be the cheapest. Appliance parts pro. Com. Dishwasher door panel was rusting Prashant K. • Fishers , IN • October 11, 2014
I had no hope of separating the panel from the frame without damaging the frame since the two parts were rusted pretty badly and the screws holding the panel to the frame were completely beyond salvage. So I had to replace both the panel and the frame. I ended up removing the electrical/electronic connections, removing the panel/frame from the hinge and then replacing it with the new parts. Took about 90 minutes but the hardest part was removing other items from the rusting frame without...

This base heater assembly restores the oven's lower heating function in select convection microwaves. It delivers bottom radiant heat for baking and crisping so the unit can preheat properly and brown foods evenly.
- Supplies bottom heat during convection, bake, or crisp cycles

What's included: 1 base heater assembly Install notes:
- Disconnect power before servicing. Microwaves contain high-voltage components that can retain a charge even when unplugged
- Allow the unit to cool completely; access typically requires removing the outer cover or lowering an over-the-range unit
- Note wire locations and routing before removal; transfer any brackets, shields, or screws from the original assembly
- Route wires exactly as original and avoid pinching; confirm clearances before reassembly and test a convection preheat

The dishwasher door spring broke. Rachael T. • Junction City , OR • November 07, 2022
I ordered the parts, deciding that if one spring had broken, the other one should probably be replaced at the same time. I followed the suggestion of ordering the door spring bearing given on the ordering page, and since I had not yet pulled out the dishwasher, did not know that it was not used in this older model. However, the order arrived quickly (4 days), and they are genuine Whirlpool, made in the USA, parts. The access to the sides of the dishwasher where the springs are attached...

This thermal fuse protects your appliance by opening the circuit if temperatures climb beyond a safe limit, helping prevent wiring or control damage. When it blows, the unit may lose all power or stop mid-cycle. What it does:
- Cuts power when overheating is detected to protect internal components
- Helps prevent damage from shorted heaters, motors, or wiring faults
- Common symptoms: no power, won't start, shuts off during operation, no lights/display
- A blown fuse reads open (no continuity) and must be replaced—it is not resettable
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power before servicing to avoid electrical shock
- Access the fuse location per your model's service information; note wire orientation and mounting
- Replace one-for-one; do not bypass or up-rate the fuse. Identify and correct the overheating cause before restoring power.

- Helps prevent arcing, discoloration, and heat damage from a loose connection
- Signs include a loose terminal, burnt odor, or melted/charred insulation at the heater connection
What's included: 1 heater terminal nut
- Disconnect power and allow the appliance and element to cool completely before service
- Photograph wiring for reference; remove old hardware and clean the terminal
- Inspect the ring terminal, insulators, and stud; replace any heat-damaged components
- Start threads by hand to avoid cross-threading; snug with the correct nut driver—do not overtighten

Stopped running after rinse cycle and the clean light was flashed 3 times Clyde Y. • Turtle Creek , PA • August 29, 2015
Replaced the heating element as shown in the video. Repaired a bad connector on the wire leading to the heating element. The clean light still flashed 3 times. Determined that the thermal fuse also needed to be replaced. Replaced the thermal fuse as shown in the video. The clean light now flashed 7 times which I discovered meant that the control panel needed to be reset. I then reset the control panel by pressing the buttons: normal, heated dry, normal, heated dry. It now works perfectly.
