LG washing machine would not shut off cold water during rinse cycle Richard W. • Denton , TX • May 22, 2018
Conducted research on web, and via direct contact with AppliancePros where a diagnosis of replacing the water inlet valve and cleaning the sensor tube would "most probably" (80%) handle the issue. The remaining uncertainty would reside in the electronic board circuitry. The price of replacing the water inlet valve was half of a local repair call just to diagnose the issue so I decided to have faith in the odds presented to me. The part arrived on time, and using AppliancePros advice and...

The Coupling Washer is a genuine OEM part for LG washing machines. As a crucial component connecting the drive motor to the inner drum, the coupling washer allows for the transmission of rotational force during the spin cycle. This rotational movement generated by the drive motor is what extracts water from clothing, effectively drying clothes.
Symptoms of a bad coupling washer include:
- The washing machine fails to spin or rotates very slowly
- Vibrations and noise during spinning
- Rubber couplings tearing or shredding prematurely
Over time, the constant exposure to vibrations and forces during spin cycles can cause the rubber material of the coupling washer to deteriorate.
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore washers.

When I looked up LG washer E6 code on the web I saw the tip from LG: unplug the washer and call for service. To me that's a challenge. I saw the AppliancePartsPros.com story on Google, read it and decided to try the solution that worked for other people. A clutch shifter motor that was around $20. I checked a few local appliance parts stores and no one carried the part I needed in stock (even though their websites said available for pickup). I then ordered the part through AppliancePartsPros on...

Bad bearings seal and spider David R. • Jacksonville , FL • February 04, 2017
If your LG Front load washers sounds like a freight train, STOP USING IT. You're doing more damage and will need more parts to fix it.
After the noise became unbearable, I began to explore and disassemble. I knew enough to know the bearings must be bad but had never done this repair before. ( I am however pretty mechanically inclined.)
Watch this video before you start tearing your LG apart. APP did a great job explaining the steps of the repair. Do a search on this site or youtube.com with...

This clutch housing assembly supports the clutch coupling in the washer's drive system, aligning and securing moving components that shift between wash and spin. Replacing a worn housing restores smooth engagement and consistent agitation and spin performance. What it does:
- Houses and supports the clutch coupling that engages the basket for wash and spin cycles
- Maintains alignment of drive components to help prevent slippage and noise
- Helps transfer motor power to the wash plate/basket through the clutch mechanism
- Common symptoms of a failing part: no or intermittent spin, weak/no agitation, grinding or scraping noises from the bottom of the washer
What's included:
- One clutch housing assembly
Install notes:
- Disconnect power and water; turn off supply valves before servicing
- Access is typically from the bottom—tilt or lay the washer carefully and support it securely
- Remove rotor/stator and clutch components as needed to reach the housing; note fastener locations and wiring
- After reassembly, rotate the drive by hand to check for binding and run a test cycle to verify agitation and spin
