Samsung dryer no heat otherwise everything else worked Richard J. • Mechanicsburg , PA • October 25, 2016
Watched video. Took dryer apart to get to heating element and sensors.
In process found alot of lint had escaped into inner dryer and had a thick coating
over heating element. I cleaned out most lint and pulled apart lint trap on front and
cleaned out as much accumulated lint as possible. I then removed the heating element
(very simple, three screws in a support bracket) and found it was broke in one spot.(wire -
element severed). I believe the heavy lint build up on elements caused lint to...

The idler wheel bearings were shot and the dryer was making high pitch squeaks because of it Douglas S. • Kennesaw , GA • March 06, 2016
From watching the video I got the general idea, disassemble 50% of the dryer. Only had 2 differences in my dryer from the one used in the video, so the video was helpful. The one difference was the connections to the front side of the dryer were on the power distribution circuit board located on the left of the dryer under a sheet metal cover. These were harder to disconnect with my fat thumbs. The bigger issue was with removing the front control panel. In the video there doesn't appear to be...

Although an Art Director by trade, I like working with my hands. I’m adept at working with tools and following instructions. In today’s disposable society, I prefer fixing things. That said, this has to be the easiest repair I’ve ever attempted with the largest cost-savings versus hiring a professional.
My brand new dryer had been in use fewer than six months (average 6 loads per week) when suddenly the dryer would not heat. The drum would spin, there were no error codes, and...

This thermal fuse is a safety device mounted on or near the blower housing inside the dryer. It is designed to blow and cut power to the dryer if the internal temperature exceeds a safe limit, preventing potential fire hazards. Replace this fuse if the dryer will not start or has no power at all - a blown thermal fuse is one of the most common reasons a dryer stops running completely.

My Samsung dryer was making a grinding noise when running. Willie K. • Albuquerque , NM • July 11, 2022
I first researched on AppliancePartsPros.com the availability of parts. It looked like all common parts were in stock ready to ship. I also found that APP had several helpful videos to show how to take apart the dryer and replace the parts. Other research indicated the most common problem is the drum rollers, but after seeing the videos I determined that not only the rollers but also the tensioner pulley could be bad and the belt too. So I bought all of these parts because I did not want to...

Squeaky noise and not fully drying David H. • Santa Clarita , CA • September 20, 2019
Originally the dryer was squeaking a lot, so I purchased a new belt tensioner, but the original tensioner was an old-style no wheel tensioner, so that wasn't the source of the squeaking.
I saw a lot of lint had built up inside the unit where there shouldn't have been that much. So I viewed a few videos on the Appliance Pros site and saw that the rear wheel guides were the cause of the squeaking and the rear felt drum and blower housing seal needed to be replaced. The rear blower housing was...

This is a thermal fuse rated at 320 degrees Fahrenheit that acts as a safety device in the dryer's heating circuit. It is designed to blow and cut power to the heater or the entire dryer if the internal temperature exceeds safe limits, preventing a fire hazard. Replace this fuse if your dryer runs but produces no heat, or if the dryer won't start at all - thermal fuses are not resettable and must be replaced once they have tripped.

I accidentally stepped on the door of my Samsung dryer. The door is intact but brackets bent. Margaret C. • Tampa , FL • June 07, 2018
I am so blessed. I went online. Found the brackets. Watch the video for the brackets I chose. And lucky me. I did not have to pull the dishwasher out. The installer did not have it flush under the counter. So I was able to pull the dishwasher forward unhook the damage brackets and insert the new. Put the dishwasher back in. Two screws. Now the balanced and secure dishwasher washes better than ever and I did not have to pay an extraordinary fee for a repairman. I'm 68 and take care of a 72 year...

No heat Tony M. • Chester , NJ • February 01, 2015
Removed the heater of course and installed the part. Very easy to do no need to remove the drum, just top cover, control panel, and front door assembly. Remove the one screw holding heater, remove blue wire, turn heater CCW to the 8 o'clock poisiton. Install in the reverse order. This is the secound one in a month if it fails again i'll just bypass it and install a 25 AMP fuse.

Dryer wasn't heating Andrew W. • Hagerstown , MD • January 21, 2017
I found the assembly with heater element, thermostat, and the thermal fuse already assembled (cheaper than finding what part was bad and ordering that one part).
unplugged dryer, pulled it out and removed the dryer exhaust tube, the top and front. The harness was a little short so I wasnt able to pull the whole heater assembly out before disconnecting. BEFORE disconnecting I took a picture so that if my brain forgot what wires went were!!!!
put the dryer back together and put a load that just...
