First, I removed the flap spring attached to the bottom hinge. Then I had to pop off the lower hinge cover so the old hinge could be removed. It doesn't seem designed to pop off so I had to wiggle and screwdriver blade under it to get if off. Fortunately, I didn't break off any of the plastic nibs that hold the cover to the flap! • Ice maker won't dispense ice

So I went on line, check out a few sites that weren't that much help and ended up here. A couple other comments really helped . I ordered the assembly and received it in a few days. It was easy to repair. The assembly has tabs all the way around it. I took a scraper/ putty knife and put tape on it so I wouldn't scratch the finish of the fridge. Pry and pop the old assembly off, working your way around the unit. The new one slips over the water spout and snaps into place.Easy! Read more

At first, I contacted the number listed in the manual to order the part, the customer service person was no help after 30 minutes of trying to explain what part I needed I think she got it, but then told me it would take 5-10 business days to get it, and they could not ship any faster. Replaced the inside back panel which comes with a new fan. Seems the old fan had stopped working due to ice which burned it out. The drain tube was blocked and ice built up on the bottom plate. Using a basting tube from Walmart and hot water I thawed out the ice in the tube. The basting tube became much like a toilet plunger and cleared the line rapidly. Nothing else worked as fast. Took a bit to diagnose. First tried cleaning coils but the problem still persisted. Next took of the back panel and put the system into diag mode. (Press energy save button and fridge button for eight seconds system ding once a second and inverter board red LED will blink a code or be on solid if no issue. • Noisy

Not easy to figure out. Removed screws that appeared to hold the motor/fan/bracket in but it didn't budge (??). Watched a You Tube video but the guy's camera work wasn't too clear. I at least gathered that there was a plastic, one-way button/slide lock on the underside of bracket that holds the motor/fan assemby in.. Didn't make sense that once the button was pushed up with a screwdriver, the bracket would slide out (towards you) because there are rigid cooling lines that are in the way. ... Read more
