The blower motor that circulates air through the refrigerator was broken. I had to remove all the shelving and drawers from the refrigerator. Then I had to remove the plastic light cover from the center of the fridge. Then I removed all visible screws to uncover the evaporator/radiator. I then unplugged the light bulb and motor wires. I took all the items out of the refrigerator. Removed the screws that hold the cover over the evaporator motor. Than for three hours used a hair drier to remove ice. The panel was frozen on if you pull on it it will break. Soaked up all the water removed the panel and took the fan blade off. That was difficult because it looks like a regular screw head however, you need to push in that which will cause it to release the blades and than push it onto the new motor. Purchased both the ice maker assembly and the valve assembly to replace the parts as needed. replaced the ice maker assembly first, and this fixed my problem. Took about 10 minutes, mainly because I didn't watch the YouTube video first. Had I watched that, it would have probably taken even less time. One Philips head screw driver is all you need. I bought new parts, motor and fan. Replace the old one. Took me no more than 15 minutes to fix it. Read more

Removed the bottom shelf by releasing the 2 clips near the water filter, then lifted the front of the shelf and slid it out. Removed 2 screws from the broken Vegetable Rail and replaced it with the new one. Slid the shelf back into place and locked it down into the clips. Done. Took longer to remove everything from the shelf than it did to fix it. Less than 5 minute repair. Read more

I removed the broken rail saving the 2 Phillips head screws for installation of new drawer rail. Removal of the shelf above the drawers was required and was accomplished by pushing a button on the front of the shelf support. The installation was a snap and took about 10 minutes after removal of food items. The part was the correct one as verified by the model number on the inside of the refrigerator door. Called sears for repair. Diagnosed that the ice maker was not allowing water to enter in when the cycle was complete. I saw that it was a simple fix, and saved about $300 by doing it myself. I removed the door and the hinge assembly from the right side; it turns out the grommet had never been installed and this is what was causing the door to grind down the metal hinge. It was remarkably easy to replace and my door is working perfectly! Read more
