Took a bit to diagnose. First tried cleaning coils but the problem still persisted. Next took of the back panel and put the system into diag mode. (Press energy save button and fridge button for eight seconds system ding once a second and inverter board red LED will blink a code or be on solid if no issue. I took all the items out of the refrigerator. Removed the screws that hold the cover over the evaporator motor. Than for three hours used a hair drier to remove ice. The panel was frozen on if you pull on it it will break. Soaked up all the water removed the panel and took the fan blade off. That was difficult because it looks like a regular screw head however, you need to push in that which will cause it to release the blades and than push it onto the new motor. First, I modified old butter knife by bending a 90° angle about 3/4" from the tip. I slid the bent in up under the bottom of the switch cover and worked it to one side. I then rotated the knife downward using the bent end to pry the cover off. The switch is held by plastic arms on each side. The bottom right arm has a locating pin that fits into the switch. I was able to find the shelves through Appliance parts website. I ordered the parts one day and they were delivered the next and I did not pay for one day shipping. One of the shelves was broken. I contacted Appliance parts by phone and spoke with Tina. She was very helpful and pleasant. I received the replacement in two days. I will definitely buy here again. Read more

Samsung refrrigerator. it started when the setting was on cubes but was putting out crushed ice. then months later the water refill was running down into the ice bucket causing a massive block of ice in the bucket. look closely at the first two or three cubes in the ice tray after they unload. mine were not dumping and staying in the tray. when the water refill kicked on it would overfill the tray (because of the leftover cubes remaining in the tray) and would run down into the ice bucket... In order it SHOULD be done: Pried off two white caps covering the screws that attach the flap to the left door, then removed screws. Lifted flap up to remove from door and disconnected cable. Used a thin blade to pry out the inner cover of the flap, then carefully pried out the insulation piece inside. Loosened the screw holding the center cap from the inside and removed cap. After discovering that our leaking fridge was caused by a plastic water storage tank I went on the hunt to find a replacement. Sadly there is no replacement available instead you have to purchase the entire filter tank assembly. Since I only needed the tank I carefully took apart the new unit and removed the tank. Samsung does not make it easy to replace the casters. The shafts holding the casters are crimped at the ends and had to be cut off with little room for any tools. I had to jack up the fridge and I used a hacksaw blade with a handle to cut through the wheel shafts. I didn't want to use a reciprocating saw. I couldn't find a way to crimp the new shafts so I drilled small holes at the ends and used cotter pins to retain the shafts in place.The rear caster had no room to slide the new one in... Read more

There's a piece of plastic with an embedded metal nut that is screwed on to the handle at both ends of the handle. These nuts lock on to screws on the drawer. Problem is that these plastic parts are flimsy and they broke at both the left and right ends and the handle just came loose. It was a two minute job to unscrew these plastic parts from the handle and screw in the replacements. Once that's done you can attach the handle to the drawer (need a hex key). Read more
