Samsung dryer no heat otherwise everything else worked Richard J. • Mechanicsburg , PA • October 25, 2016
Watched video. Took dryer apart to get to heating element and sensors.
In process found alot of lint had escaped into inner dryer and had a thick coating
over heating element. I cleaned out most lint and pulled apart lint trap on front and
cleaned out as much accumulated lint as possible. I then removed the heating element
(very simple, three screws in a support bracket) and found it was broke in one spot.(wire -
element severed). I believe the heavy lint build up on elements caused lint to...

My Samsung dryer was making a grinding noise when running. Willie K. • Albuquerque , NM • July 11, 2022
I first researched on AppliancePartsPros.com the availability of parts. It looked like all common parts were in stock ready to ship. I also found that APP had several helpful videos to show how to take apart the dryer and replace the parts. Other research indicated the most common problem is the drum rollers, but after seeing the videos I determined that not only the rollers but also the tensioner pulley could be bad and the belt too. So I bought all of these parts because I did not want to...

Samsung dryer model# DV42H5200EW would not heat no error codes otherwise operating normally. James S. • Washington , DC • October 20, 2017
You can do this!
Although an Art Director by trade, I like working with my hands. I’m adept at working with tools and following instructions. In today’s disposable society, I prefer fixing things. That said, this has to be the easiest repair I’ve ever attempted with the largest cost-savings versus hiring a professional.
My brand new dryer had been in use fewer than six months (average 6 loads per week) when suddenly the dryer would not heat. The drum would spin, there were no error codes, and...

This is a thermal fuse rated at 320 degrees Fahrenheit that acts as a safety device in the dryer's heating circuit. It is designed to blow and cut power to the heater or the entire dryer if the internal temperature exceeds safe limits, preventing a fire hazard. Replace this fuse if your dryer runs but produces no heat, or if the dryer won't start at all - thermal fuses are not resettable and must be replaced once they have tripped.

I accidentally stepped on the door of my Samsung dryer. The door is intact but brackets bent. Margaret C. • Tampa , FL • June 07, 2018
I am so blessed. I went online. Found the brackets. Watch the video for the brackets I chose. And lucky me. I did not have to pull the dishwasher out. The installer did not have it flush under the counter. So I was able to pull the dishwasher forward unhook the damage brackets and insert the new. Put the dishwasher back in. Two screws. Now the balanced and secure dishwasher washes better than ever and I did not have to pay an extraordinary fee for a repairman. I'm 68 and take care of a 72 year...

Dryer motor Dave B. • Worton , MD • April 19, 2016
After watching the how to video twice I decided to embark on dismantling my dryer and attempting to replace my motor. After realizing that the main tool needed was a Phillips screwdriver I was sure I could handle this repair. One by one I took apart the dryer and spread out the parts throughout my mud room. 1.5 hrs later and I have a working dryer, and most of all a happy wife. Thanks for the speedy part delivery and the great how to video.

We had a loud clunking noise and then the dryer stopped working. Andrew R. • Piedmont , SC • April 10, 2020
I initially thought the dryer belt broke (common problem) and found a good video made by appliance parts pros showing how to replace the belt. As I took the dryer apart I discovered multiple issues. Appliance parts pros had all of the parts I needed and instructional videos that gave me the confidence to do the job. Ordered parts on a Sunday afternoon, parts arrived Tuesday morning and was back in business within an hour.

Worn drum seal Steve H. • Salem , OR • October 27, 2015
Replaced w/new seal, easy.
More important was the service I received from you. I first called Samsung, their solution for a worn drum seal was to buy a new S.S. drum for near $300. Your solution was to buy a new seal for under $17, which was in stock and even delivered by Fedex on saturday. The lady I ordered the seal from was efficient and personable, like talking w/an old friend. It was an enjoyable experience, especially the price difference. Next time I need repair parts, you will be...

Dryer would not start. John K. • Lawrenceville , GA • November 03, 2017
The start button had been tricky to use. You had to push it in just a certain way to get the dryer to start. Eventually it was non-responsive. All other controls worked and there was no error code displayed. The repair was to replace the whole control board which cost around $100. Heavy sigh..
Be sure to keep track of all your screws.
BTW it was not the thermal fuse. All the online videos say this is the first thing to look for when the dryer will not start. Be sure to check with the person...
