Scott December 19, 2020 for Model Number SHX45P05UC/60 Dishwasher not draining. Checked everything for clogs to include drain piping, little plastic backflow preventer, etc. - no apparent issues. Suspected bad drain pump - replaced drain pump but it still does not drain - put hand on drain pump and does not appear to vibrate or operate. Ran continuity test on original drain pump that was thought to be bad - continuity is good which leads me to believe drain pump is not the culprit? It appears that the drain pump is not getting a signal to operate when unit goes into the drain cycle? Bad control board? Is there something else that could be inhibiting the drain pump to operate? Hate to just toss the whole unit if its something simple? r/Scott
1 Answer Scott, Check the wiring between the drain pump and the control board to make sure that there are no broken or damaged wires and if there is not then the control board will be the issue. Read More...
Jim Mo February 23, 2019 for Model Number SHV45M03UC 52 Bosch dishwasher model SHV45M03UC 52 Symptoms The unit fills once, never completes the cycle, never draining the water, stops at one minute for a while and then goes back to 20 minutes. I can drain the water by pushing cancel / reset buttons. The drain and recirculating pumps are both working however the upper spray bar is moving very slowly. The top rack never gets clean. I believe the recirculating pump impeller is broken. Can I buy the replacement kit for this impeller? I believe the recirculating pump impeller is broken. I thoroughly cleaned the sump pump area, the filters as well as both spray arms and assemblies. Also cleaned the float assembly AP3783242 I have replaced the Water Value Assy Ap4070550
1 Answer Jim, The 00167085 / 00167085 Circulation Pump Repair Kit, will be the repair kit for your machine. With the repairs and checks you've made so far the impeller is most likely damaged and not being driven properly by the motor. You're probably going to want to view the video attached to the part number in the parts order screen, so you'll have an idea of what to expect, before you start. Read More...
Chad August 24, 2018 for Model Number SHV45M03UC-48 I have been running the test program and reading the error codes. I checked the incoming amperage when running and it never exceeds 2 amps. I suspected the heating element but checked the resistance and it is within specifications. I ordered the temperature sensor and high limit sensor. I have not received or replaced it yet. My other problem is that now when I turn on the dishwasher all 5 lights are lit and I can’t select the wash cycle I want to run. I can’t seem to clear the lights so they are no longer lit. I turned the power off for several hours and still didn’t work. All lights came back on when I pressed the power button.
1 Answer Hello Chad, We will first need to know if any fault codes came up, (you said you were reading them). If there are no codes you most likely have either a harness 00643564 issue or a bad control 00676964. We will need more information to determine any other causes for the failure. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Vincent January 14, 2018 for Model Number SHX45P05UC/58 After working flawlessly for years my dishwasher has started acting up. It runs forever, maybe 4 hours until it stops regardless of the cycle. When it stops the dishes are barely wet and the soap is still mostly in the dispenser. I understand that it is likely due to the water not getting hot initially. Indeed if I run the hot water in the sink for a few minutes and then start the dishwasher it is able to complete the cycle in a reasonable amount of time and actually clean the dishes. Would that point to the heating relay on the controller or is the heating element to blame?
1 Answer Hello Vincent, If the soap is still in the dispenser, this is an indication of a lack of water circulation. You should verify the water fill and if not sufficient, the water valve 00607335 is most likely at fault. If the water is filling sufficiently, there may be a clogged filter or an issue with the circulation pump 00442548. Read More...
Rick January 08, 2013 for Model Number Bosch SHX45M05UC/50 I hate this dishwasher. Doesn't clean well and leaves soap all over everything. It runs forever. The timer runs down to one minute and that's where it stays. The bottom is full of soapy, cool water. I read elsewhere that the problem is the control board which isn't activating the heater. The water won't heat so the cycle won't move on to rinse. Does that sound right, or is it the water valve issue? It doesn't seem like the water should be cool and soapy and I know the last minute shouldn't last for hours. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Rick. Test the heater and make sure it is good. If so, you will need to order and replace the module 00676964. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Carl September 22, 2012 for Model Number Bosch SHX45M02UC/48 I'm experiencing the same problem as described in the above question, however, I'm still able to complete the cycle using the Quick Wash cycle - but I doubt that will continue. I've followed the given advice, and I don't have any water in the base. I read elsewhere that the test cycle is to hold down the Power Scrub Plus and Regular Wash button and then press the power button. When I do this the display has "P0", the Auto Wash LED is on steady, and the Regular Wash LED is blinking; unfortunately, I don't know what this means. Is the cause of my problem the control module or is it the heater or is it something else? What more can I do to narrow it down? Thank you for any help, Carl
1 Answer Hello Carl. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control module 00676964 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Tp August 10, 2012 for Model Number Bosch SHX4501UC My dishwasher never finished the cycle. It was stuck at one minute. I was able to override it to drain. Is the control module the most likely culpurit? If so, what tools would I need to replace it?
1 Answer Hello T.P., I seriously doubt that the control has anything to do with this particular complaint. Here's what I need you to do: Remove the kickpanel after turning the breaker off to the unit. Remove the two screws that mount the water valve. Either use a flashlight and an inspection mirror to check for water in the bottom of the base assembly. If you don't have a small mirror to inspect with, use a dry paper towel and push it to the bottom of the base with something plastic as you don't want to damage the flood float which is made of styrofoam. Any moisture down here at all i a bad thing. The first suspect if you find moisture is the wate3r inlet valve. The manufacturer has made a vent device that will cause the water to dribble to the base if the valve begins to fail and doesn't open fully. This dribble will activate the flood switch which will cause the display to read one minute and the unit will automatically do nothing but drain. Fortunately, this is an easy fix. Changing the water valve is simple. The hardest thing about it is getting all of the water away from the flood switch float. I use two methods. When the customer is in a hurry, I use a towel to "wick" the water out. This is tedious and takes some time, but is effective by pulling the edge of the towel out and inserting a dry part repeatedly until no water is present. The slow method is to set a fan in front of the unit and letting the air evaporate the water. Usually, overnight is sufficient unless there is alot of water standing in the base. I've had quite a few customers that allowed me to get the majority of the water out and then set up the fan. You have to dry the base out good to prevent algae from developing which will act as glue and cause the float to stick to the base and the next time you have a leak, the flood switch will not be activated, increasing the chances of water in the floor. You can go ahead and install the new water valve if you're using the fan method, but if you're wicking it out with a towel, this is easier with the valve removed. I didn't list any part numbers because the model number you listed didn't pull up as valid. If you would like us to look the part number up for you, if I could please ask you to verify the model number and include the FD number since it also denotes exact part numbers for the model. Or, you also have the option to call in and have one of our operators look it up for you. We are always happy to help. Read More...
