Mitch, To remove the oven control board, on the outer part of the board housing there will be 2 screws on each side that should be readily accessible that you remove and take the control board out and install the new one.

Judy for Model Number Kennore Range - Model #970-503020

The oven/timer control board on my stove slipped back inside the stove. I called the repairman and he opened up the back of the stove, and found that two of the plastic tabs that hold the screws were completely gone. The only answer he said was to replace the board. A new one is $160.00 plus the 65.00 service charge we already paid to have him look at it, and another 65.00 for him to install the new one. The stove is almost 6 years old. No explanation as to why this happened, except that if it was self cleaning, but it does not have a self cleaning oven.

Hello Judy. The only way to repair the issue is replacing the clock. They do not offer just the housing. Sorry.

Jim, Based on the information and that you are only getting 120 vac at the L2 on the control board, this would be a control board issue.

Ron, The only lockout feature that we could find information on with your unit would be the oven control lockout in which you would push the lock key for 3 seconds and it should unlock. As for the controls for the surface unit The Self-Clean feature will not operate whenever a radiant surface element is ON. Conversely the ESEC feature will not operate during the Self-Clean cycle. Whenever the ESEC Lockout feature is active, “ - - ” may appear in any display window (See Fig. 3). If any of the surface elements are still hot during active Lockout, “HE” will appear in the window instead of the “- -” message.

Sean, The most likely cause for the unit oven to not heat would be that the control board is faulty and would need to be replaced.

Gene, We would need to have the model number for your unit to properly assist but based on the part number that you listed 316207522 which is a Frigidaire part, the F10 error code would be a over temperature error. For this issue you will want to test the oven sensor for 1090 ohms of resistance. If not correct then replace the sensor if it is correct then check the wiring between the sensor and the oven control board. If the wiring checks ok then replace the control board.

Chris, The F1 error code would be an overheating issue in which you will want to test the oven sensor for 1090 ohms of resistance. If the resistance checks bad then replace the oven sensor. If the oven sensor checks ok then the issue would be with the oven control board.

Tammy, It is possible that you received a faulty control board. You will want to check at the main control board with the unit set to broil between the broil and L1 to see if there is 240 vac. If there is not then check the broil element to make sure that it is good. If there is then the issue would be the control board.

Hello Jerry, Since the only electrical circuitry shared between the surface burners and the bake compartment is from the terminal block back to the breaker box, I would start at the receptacle, power cord, and terminal block in search of this issue. If the problem is at the terminal block, the wires from the loose connection will be discolored and burned looking. If the issue is in the wall receptacle, there will be at least one burned spot on one of the prongs on the power cord. If no problem is located there, check the connections to the breaker in the breaker box.
