Don November 09, 2019 for Model Number DPSB620EC4WW The felt drum seal and drum bearings needed to be replaced. Ordered the parts. While waiting on parts my wife tried to use the dryer. She said it made loud noises and then stopped. She tried again, same results. I changed the drum seal and bearings, but now it won't run. If I press the "ON" or "Start" button, nothing happens. The interior drum light comes on when the door is open, but the electronic panels does not light up or respond in any way.
1 Answer Don, it is possible that when in use, the bearing and seal may have caused enough tension to not allow the blower wheel to create a proper airflow. This could have caused the hi-limit thermostat WE4M300 to open the circuit and prevent 120VAC on the L1 side to reach the control. With the dryer unplugged, the thermostat can be tested for continuity to verify if it has failed, and is located at the blower wheel housing. Read More...

Sue S. September 24, 2016 for Model Number DRSR483ED1WW I need the insulation behind the diffuser. No one seems to know what that is. Can you help me?
1 Answer Hello Sue, The diffuser does not have insulation behind it since the air flow has to pass through it. Many times an issue with the ducting can cause a lint build-up in the diffuser and this can be mistaken for an insulator. Read More...

J.B. December 29, 2013 for Model Number DHDSR46EG5WW Hi, I removed the diffuser from the back of my dryer to clean it. Is there an easy way to line up the 3 holes? Also, is there supposed to be insulation? It looked like lint buildup that burned. thanks
1 Answer Hello J.B., There is no insulation in the diffuser. This would be, as you suspected, burned lint. The way I always get everything lined back up is by sticking two wire ties through two of the holes, this lines the third one up so I can start one screw. Note I start one screw but do not tighten it. This way, I can pull out one wire tie and start a second screw. By this time, the third hole has no choice but to be lined up. Once I have all three screws started, I then go around and tighten all three screws. Read More...
