Shon November 08, 2014 for Model Number GSS25WSTASS Last night we had a power outage. Today, the main display has no display. It won't show temperature numbers. It also started clicking. When I engage the switch, part wr23x10783 switch, as if I were asking it to deliver ice or water, the clicking stops. The clicking is coming from the buzzer on the back of the control board, interface dispenser part no. AP4362900. Do I need the interface board or the switch or both.
1 Answer Hello Shon, This is most likely a power supply issue on the main board WR55X10942C. While there is the chance that the dispense board WR55X10859 had incurred damage, it is more likely to be an issue with the main board. Read More...
Ronda November 01, 2014 for Model Number GSL25JFPBS The door water/ice dispenser does not shut off so the water just keeps pouring out of the door. We stuffed a towel behind the thing you push to get the water and that keeps it off. Im just not sure what part I need to replace. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
1 Answer Rhonda, The most likely cause for the dispenser to not stop dispensing water would either be that the switch is sticking or the water valve on the unit is not closing. You would want to check the switch to make sure that it is good and if it checks ok then the water valve would most likely be the issue. Read More...

Bill September 20, 2014 for Model Number GSS25LGMAWW Ice/water switch works intermittantly, usually not. Would that be the switch or the solonoid?
1 Answer Hello Bill, If the switch WR23X10783 tests good and the connections and wiring harness are in good shape at the door hinge, The board WR55X10195 is the most likely suspect. Be sure the freezer compartment is not below 0°F as this can cause condensation on the auger motor and cause stoppage. Also be sure to shine a light from the outside while looking down into the ice chute. If light can be seen, air can leak through and cause condensation issues. If there is any rust on the solenoid WR62X10055, it should be replaced. Read More...

Dan Farlin June 30, 2014 for Model Number psc23mgtaww Freezer door interface display board was replaced, worked for a month, now it appears to be without power. replaced the board again, still no power.
1 Answer Dan F., You will want to check the wire harness at the bottom of the door to make sure that the harness is not damage or have broken wires. If the wiring checks ok then the main control board would be the issue with the main control board. Read More...
Chris April 12, 2014 for Model Number GE GSHS5KGXGCSS After replacing the water filter, the water continues to dispense after letting the dispenser go. Strong flow at first and then a trickle, eventually stopping. I purged the water lines and then replaced the solenoid valve with no luck. What else could it be?
1 Answer Hello Chris, If the water pressure to the valve is low or the new valve is defective, there will be residual runtime, (3 seconds after release is the symptom), just as there is when air gets in the system. There is also the possibility of a loose water line or a pin hole in a water line allowing air into the system. It is important to throw out about 2 gallons to ensure all of the system is properly purged. Read More...
Ed February 02, 2014 for Model Number GE Refrigerator GSS22JEPHCC Water constantly runs out of the spout at the dispenser.
1 Answer Hello Ed. If there is power coming to the valve, you will need to check the micro-switch in the freezer door. If there is no power, and you have to turn off the water to stop it, you will need to replace the water valve on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
