Hello Robert, If the fan is not running and the compressor and condensor fan are running then it would not be the sensors causing this. You will want to check the motor to see if it is getting power and check the main conrol board to make sure that it is sending power to the fan motor.

Hello Cheryl, You will want to check to make sure that you are not getting frost on the back wall of freezer which would restrict air flow and cause cooling issues. If there is frost then you would want to do a continuity test on the defrost heater WR51X10055 and defrost limiter WR50X10068. If these check ok then you would want to replace the defrost thermistor WR55X10025 and control board WR55X10942C. If the unit does not have frost on the back wall you will want to check to make sure that compressor is running. If not running then you will want to unplug unit and check the relay on the side of the compressor. If it rattles then the relay is bad and needs to be replaced. If the fans and the compressor are not running at all then unplug unit for 20 seconds and then plug back in. If unit starts then replace the control board.

Hello D. If you need to replace the refrigerator compartment thermistor then it will be on the side wall. There is a grill that is about 1 1/2" long that you would pop off and the thermistor is located underneath this.

Jmg for Model Number PSS26LGSBWW

I have a GE side by side Profile. In the freezer side (ice maker), the ice cubes in the container begin to melt and drip down to the lower part forming icicles as they water drips and frozen items begin to thaw, and on the back were the vent is and presume the refrigerator coils are located I can see some frost. At the same time on the refrigerator side, the vegetables, milk and other food items begin to freeze. If I disconnect the unit an allow for all the ice to melt (5 hours) and then reconnect, it begins to work fine for a day or two, and then everything starts happening again. Can you help?

Hello JMG, You would want to check to make sure that the evaporator fan motor is operating properly and check to make sure that the thermistors are within range. The resistance range on the thermistor should be at 77 degrees 5Kohms, at 37 degrees 14 K ohms and at 0 degrees 42.5k ohm. If not within range then you would need to replace the thermistor.

Lady Bug, The issue could be a thermistor, but it's more likely an issue in the damper assembly WR09X10050. If there's a defect in the motor or the door, and it doesn't open properly, causing the fresh food section to warm up.

Hello Monica, There is a small grill on the side wall of unit. The thermistor will be located under this grill. It should be on the right hand side. When replacing you will just clip the head off the old one and splice the new one on.

Hello Yuri, You will want to check to make sure that your compressor is running. If not running you will want to check to see if it is trying to start. It sounds like it could be a bad start relay or possibly no power to the compressor being a bad control board. You can check to see if compressor is getting power from the control board on the 3 pin spade connector from compressor to neutral. There should be 120vac at this point. If not then it would be a bad control board. Also unplug unit and wait 30 seconds to make sure it is not stuck in defrost. If unit comes back on then replace the control board.

Paul, You'll need to check the Refrigerator damper assembly WR49X10091 and make sure the damper door is not broken or stuck in the open position, that would allow too much freezer temperature air into the fresh food compartment and cause things to freeze.
