The Check Valve Flapper is an OEM replacement part for GE dishwashers. It is a small but crucial component located within the water inlet valve assembly. The check valve flapper regulates water flow into the dishwasher, allowing water to enter during the fill cycles but preventing backflow when the water is drained.

Causes of a bad check valve flapper can include wear and tear over time, mineral buildup that causes sticking, or damage to the flapper itself. This prevents the flapper from opening and closing as intended.

Symptoms of a bad check valve flapper include:

  • Slow or incomplete filling of water
  • Dripping or leaking water from the inlet area
  • Error codes related to water issues

This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore dishwasher models.

Hello Tim. If the flap is letting dirty water into the unit, it could be the issue. Try replacing the flap. If problem continues, check for clogs in the drain hose.

Barry, The valve flapper could be the issue, it may have an obsruction partially blocking the drain. But first, try disconnecting the dishwasher drain hose from the plumbing under the sink, and drain the dishwasher into a bucket. This will usually flush any debris that has accumulated in the drain hose, pump and adapters. Thanks

Hello Mark. Check and see if the valve flapper WD01X10175 is broke or bad on the pump. If so, it can cause the water to siphon out and back fill the machine. Hope this helps.

Robyn for Model Number GSD66000G00WW

Our Triton EL has had some difficulty draining. The pump sounds fine. The bottom rack is missing 5 of the 8 wheels and if we take it out and run the cycle it drains just fine. My husband thinks if we replace those wheels we will be set but I'm not convinced. The washer is going on 8 years old. Is there any other little pieces that could be the culprit. In my research, many other models have a flapper or a Piston and Nut that seem to cause the same type of issue but this model doesn't appear to have the piston and nut. Before I pay for shipping on the wheels only, what else should I look for in the washer and or consider replacing? Thanks - Robyn

Hello Robyn. If the unit works properly with the bottom rack out, it sounds like the wheels WD35X21038 WD35X21041 will fix your problem. Check and make sure the pump WD26X10016 is working properly, and that the drain hose is not clogged. If the pump is good, and the hose is good, then you may have found your problem. Hope this helps.

Hello Jack. You will need to test and see if your getting power to the pump. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. If so, the drain hose may be clogged. Hope this helps.
