Do you know where i can find these gears? My ice maker stopped working. contacted Samsung support was told to push the test button when the chime sounded the "technician" i was talking to said the ice maker was fine and had been reset and to wait 3-4 hours then check for ice. There's 4 hours I won't get back. After reading the answers here i took the ice maker out and found the fingers that push the cubes out frozen in 1/2 size ice cubes. I thawed the ice and got the fingers free but they seemed loose. I connected the cable back up with the unit not installed and pushed the test button. I could hear and feel the motor running but the fingers weren't moving. when i gave them a little push they started to rotate. The sensing lever cycled, the fingers stopped and it dispensed about half a cup of water in the back of the compartment (didn't expect that...put a container under it the next time i hit the test) Took the motor unit off and removed the cover to find the plastic gear that moves the fingers and the one on the motor both had teeth stripped off. I have been trying to find these gears with no luck and I hate to spend about $100 dollars to fix what should be a couple cheap parts. thanks

Jeffrey, if you test the DC voltage at the main control, you will want to place the black lead of a multimeter on heater sink REG1 and the red lead at pin 2 of connection CN90. This should give you a reading of less than 5VDC. If not, then you have a main control issue. If it does have the voltage and the reset button does not engage the self harvest when holding it for 3 seconds, then you have an icemaker issue.
