Kathy, There would be a reset on the icemaker but you would need a new icemaker for it because it is not a separate part. The reset should be on the bottom of the icemaker head.

Hello Mary, The button is on the right side of the icemaker as you view it from the front of the freezer compartment. It is a small rubberized button. It must be held in for about 5 seconds for the icemaker to cycle. This is not a reset button but a thermostat bypass button. If the icemaker is not cycling properly it could be because the freezer compartment is not below 20°F or the cycling thermostat on the icemaker is defective. If the case is the icemaker cycling thermostat, the icemaker assembly DA97-05422A will have to be replaced.

Garlan, It sounds like there may be ice stuck in the mold where it formed more ice around it. You would want to remove the icemaker and clean out all ice with hot water and then put the unit back in and see if this corrects the issue. If it does not then the icemaker would most likely need to be replaced.

Jack You may be experiencing an air leak threw your dispenser in your door.I would check the dispenser door to make sure it seals tight.A small amount of water can be used from inside the door to make sure there are no leaks>Just open the door and put a small amount of water where your ice exits. If a leak is there then part #DA97-07288A will most likely be the fix for your issue.

Jimmy, Remove the ice maker assembly and check for any loose wires or connections at the wall connector . If all's OK, replace the DA97-15217D / DA97-12317A Ice maker Assembly. One of the sensors(horizontal/temperature) has failed and is being bypassed when you reset and test the ic maker.
