S. M. M. May 11, 2015 for Model Number Russell Range BIC-42-6 My Russell Range 6-burner Cooktop (which came with our home when we bought it) is no longer being manufactured and it has been impossible to find parts for it. Currently, both the left rear and left front igniters function only intermittently and need replacement. Also, the burner grates are in poor condition; three have through and through cracks in them and they, and the other three have lost about one-third to one-half of their porcelain finish and should all be replaced. Will the Dacor igniter part #AP3395928 work on my Russell, and are there any burner grates available, as well?
1 Answer Hello! Unfortunately, we do not have information regarding Russell Ranges and can not guarantee any parts will fit the given unit/model. Sorry about that! Read More...
W July 20, 2014 for Model Number SCG304 I have a bad igniter on the right front burner. All other burners light ok. To replace do I need to remove the burner bases from all and raise up the cooktop or just remove the base from the faulty burner and then i will have access to the igniter? Wasn't sure from other comments. Any pics/videos on this - the other was too generic. Any special tools needed also? Thank for any clarification.
1 Answer W. You will want to remove the burner cap, and there will be a brass nut in the center of the burner head that you will remove. Once removed lift the burner head out and you can replace the igniter. There is no video for this model. Read More...

Arvindnthakore April 07, 2014 for Model Number SGG365 Our middle burner spark igniter sparks when we are using the left or right side burner.
1 Answer Hello Arvindnthakore, All gas unit spark ALL surface burners when ANY of the surface burners are energized. This is done in case the spark module were to be mis-wired and the wrong one should spark during gas being released into the room. This is normal and if it could be stopped, it should not since this is for your safety. Read More...
D.J. March 22, 2014 for Model Number Dacor SGM466 How do you remove the old igniter? My cooktop is fixed in place. Thanks
1 Answer Hello D.J., Remove the burner cap and remove the burner fastening ring. This can usually be accomplished by putting the tips of a pair of needlenosed pliers into the grooves in the ring and use a screwdriver in the pliers handles for leverage. You will need to turn off the gas and disconnect the power. Raise the burner, unplug the wire from the igniter and remove the clip securing the igniter to the top assembly. Remove the igniter and install the new igniter in reverse order. Before re-assembly, place a small amount of any kind of grease, (lard does fine), to prevent seizing of the fastening ring.
