Hello Ben. Based on the information you provided, the sensor is fine, and the timer 9754260 is bad. This part has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part. Thanks.

Lloyd for Model Number Whirlpool Range GLP85900

I changed the oven sensor as the ohm readings were all over the place. With the new sensor installed I turned the oven onto bake to start the bake cycle, the timer shows a count down of 5mins 15 seconds, after the time is counted down the oven is only about 100 degrees F. It took almost a full hour for the oven to heat up to 350 degrees F. The oven can be heard to cycle off and on with both the old sensore and the new replacement sensor. What should I check next or what needs to be replaced, the stove was purchased new in 2003?

Hello Lloyd. Based on the information you provided, you will need to check and see if the bake element WP9752294 is good. It should read closed for continuity. If it is bad, it can cause the problems your having. Hope this helps.

Hello David. If the preheat goes off and the oven temperature is not correct. You may have a bad sensor WP9782081. It should read around 1650 ohms at 350°. If you set it for 350° and the pre heat shuts off at 250°, test the sensor and see if it is around 1650 ohms. If so, replace the sensor. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Donnie, You don't have a thermostat, you have an electronic range control (ERC), it consists of a display/control board and a separate power relay board WP9782455 and WP9782437. You will need to remove the control panel to access and check both components. You may want to remove the broil element in the oven and check voltage with a meter, and trace the lost voltage back to the control or wiring. Thanks and Good Luck.

Hi Donnie. If your controls are bringing up a F-3 then you will need a oven senser part # WP9782081. There is a oven thermostat part # WP9759944, that will prevent you from heating. Are the top burners working well? Thank you.
