Amanda September 16, 2015 When I try to start my washer it turns on, clicks several times (attempting to lock the door) then spins, clicks then beeps several times then shuts off with the door locked (have to manually unclock the door). I noticed there was a tear in the boot seal and wondered if this could be causing the problem...maybe can't seal the door becuase of the tear thus cycling through beeps and clicks of the door then shutting off?
1 Answer Amanda, It would be more likely that the issue would be with a faulty door latch assembly. The door boot also would need to be replaced. Read More...
Amanda September 14, 2015 for Model Number WFW9150WW00 The bellow to my Stackable Whirlpool Duet has two holes. I have had many issues with this washer but it appears the leaking would be from the two dime sized holes in the bellow. I've ordered a new one but is there any way to replace it without un-stacking the dryer?
1 Answer Hello Amanda, Replacing the door boot seal is possible without the removal of the front panel of the unit but this much easier to do with the front panel off. The dryer will have to be removed from the washer and the main top removed to access the screws for removing the control panel and main front panel. Read More...
Rick March 29, 2015 for Model Number WFW8400TW02 Hello, I had a small leak during the drain/spin cycle only. Read several forums...contacted several repair services all pointed to door seal leaking. I replaced door seal and ran several cycles through machine. Still leaking...ugh. Seems to be leaking during the high speed drain and spin cycles. Can see water coming from bottom of concrete weight during those cycles. Reached up after finished and can feel water behind the " drain holes" on the bottom of the door seal. removed and replaced to make sure was installed correctly... still leaks... No other obvious leaks found. Any idea where the water can be coming from? I checked the entire machine even ran it with the covers off of it to check for other areas that may be leaking... nothing.... Any information will be greatly appreciated... thanks PS I checked the original door seal for leaks after I replaced with the new one and there were no leaks in the seal found...
1 Answer Rick, With the unit leaking from behind where the door seal sits and the weights then you will want to check the front of the outer tub for cracks. Pull the weights and the door boot and visually check for any location that could be leaking. Also make sure that you are getting the clamp tightened down properly. Read More...

Dick S September 19, 2014 for Model Number MHWZ600TW00 Laundry caught in bottom of door and operated. Leaking at bottom of front seal, seal damage, edge is now wrinkled looking. Pressure on door may slow but will not stop leak during wash and rinse. I believe it to be the door seal, however, hinges and warped door are also mentioned as possible causes. How do I check these items? watched repair video, very helpful. My machines are stacked with dryer on top, is it possible to replace the seal without dismounting the dryer above? I appreciate your assistance.
1 Answer Hello Dick. Based on the information you provided, it does sound like the door seal is bad on the unit. As for the door, you can only tell by replacing the seal and seeing if the unit still leaks. Most of the time the door and hinges are fine. Read More...
Murray June 23, 2014 for Model Number ymhwe25iyl00 Hi , I have a customer with a maytag front load washer series 2000 the inner part of the boot seal was sliced a away all the way around and became completely separated in a large ring. , visually I see no reason it would do that, , the part number is w10381562 thanks, its a fairly new machine.
1 Answer Murray, While a problem may not have been seen that would cause the boot to tear, the item may have already been removed by the consumer. If they had put something in that had a sharp edge it could cause that . The part number for the bellow is part number WPW10381562. Read More...
Lori June 18, 2014 for Model Number WFW8300SW04 I need to replace the boot seal on my washer. What else do I need to get. A clamp? or use the one from that is on there now?
1 Answer Lori, the door boot seal listed for your model is part number WPW10111435. You should be able to use the existing clamps on your unit now. However, if they are needed you'll need part numbers W11032829 for the front panel clamp and WP8540108 for the tub clamp. Thanks! Read More...
Yvonne May 14, 2014 for Model Number 110.47532600 The machine works fine until it gets to the spin cycle. It's making noise but its not spinning. What do you think is causing the problem?
1 Answer Hello Yvonne, You need to run the diagnostic test as described I the tech sheet. This will pull the fault codes stored in the control. This is the best way to get to the bottom of the issue without spending a mint on replacement parts that are not needed. Read More...
Chris April 16, 2014 for Model Number wfw8300sw05 Washing machine leaks water out of the bottom of the door. It only does this on delicate or quick wash and not every time. It's at a rental so Im just going by renter complaints. I sat in front of it for several cycles while washing a sleeping bag and then a comforter with no leak. (I know quick wash is only for a few items but wanted to push it a little to see if I could get it to leak) I did catch it leaking once on a different occation and confirmed it was the door, if I pushed on the door it seemed to slow the leak. Almost seemed like the door wasn't latched all the way? Im thinking about replacing the boot but don't want to waste my time and money if its something else. Have you gotten this complaint before? Any suggestions?
1 Answer Hello Chris. Usually this is due to bad door hinges, a bad door boot, or the door is warped. You will want to check all three issues. Read More...
