Cal October 14, 2019 for Model Number RF367LXSS3 Front dual element only heats on larger element and not on smaller one can smaller element be bad?
1 Answer Hello Cal, its possible the dual burner's inner coil has failed in which case you would have to replace the element, or the infinite switch contacts for the inner coil have failed. Using a multimeter you can test the infinite switch contacts ,disconnect power to the stove, remove the rear backguard cover , at the infinite switch for the dual burner disconnect the wires from terminals P2 and 4 and test for continuity with the switch turned on, , if it tests ok access the underside of the dual burner and disconnect the wires from terminals 4 and 2 at using those terminals check for an ohm value of about 57 ohms. The switch is part WP9758060, the dual element is part WP8523047. Read More...

Rob July 19, 2016 for Model Number WP9757031 I have a kitchen maid stove. The element WP9757031 has a 2 inch black spot whenever it is on. I see from online images that it seems to be a design flaw. Is there a newer element that I could replace it with that would work in the stove? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Rob, I'm sorry but we need the model number from the units' I.D. tag to determine if this is the correct part for your unit. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Roy March 04, 2013 for Model Number KERA205PT0 I am searching for a dual surface element for a Kitchenaid range. The element is the right rear. I believe it is 800/1000 watts. It is approximately 7 1/2 inches wide. Would you have a part number for this element. Thanks
David September 29, 2012 for Model Number RF362LXTS3 I need to order the dual zone front left electric burner. What is the correct part number? Thanks.
Robert H. April 18, 2012 for Model Number 665-95012102 In the installation instruction to replace a surface unit, it refers to disconnect wires from a limiter. Is this limiter included with the purchase of a new element? If not what is its part number and the cost ? What is the purpose of the limiter?
1 Answer Hi Robert. The limiter allows the burner to cycle safely & properly. As the burner is normally mounted, imagine it very close to the bottom of the under glass area. Then if the customers pan bottom is warped and Used on the burner, now you have trapped heated air under the burner. The limiter now senses the trapped air temperature and then cycles faster trying to keep up on the burner demand. Thus the limiter gets over worked way too fast. Being there as a safety limit so the burner does not run away and overheat or a possible fire. Burner part # WP8523047. Thank You. Read More...

Ken December 23, 2011 for Model Number KERI201PWH4 One of the children was cooking on the dual element on high (both). When they were done they walked away leaving the dual burner on for a period of time. The inner element no longer works. Is there a ohms/voltage test that I could varify what's broke (switch, limiter, sensor tube, element)? Or do you have a short cut of knowing what the issue is? Thanks, Ken
1 Answer Hi Ken. You can quickly take a flashlight and look into the glass at the burner assy. If you see "opens" in the ribbon element, then you found the issue. It is part # WP8523047. The dual infinite switch is part # WP9757030. A quick way to tell on this part is looking at the sides and the terminals to see if there are burnt spots. A live voltage meter test is to check the out put terminals while cycling between Low, Medium and High heat. You should get 240 vac output at the burner on the orange # 2 terminal and the or/blk. wire on the # 4 terminal. Thank You Read More...
