Ken for Model Number KERI201PWH4 One of the children was cooking on the dual element on high (both). When they were done they walked away leaving the dual burner on for a period of time. The inner element no longer works. Is there a ohms/voltage test that I could varify what's broke (switch, limiter, sensor tube, element)? Or do you have a short cut of knowing what the issue is? Thanks, Ken
Answer Hi Ken. You can quickly take a flashlight and look into the glass at the burner assy. If you see "opens" in the ribbon element, then you found the issue. It is part # WP8523047. The dual infinite switch is part # WP9757030. A quick way to tell on this part is looking at the sides and the terminals to see if there are burnt spots. A live voltage meter test is to check the out put terminals while cycling between Low, Medium and High heat. You should get 240 vac output at the burner on the orange # 2 terminal and the or/blk. wire on the # 4 terminal. Thank You Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, December 27, 2011
