Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Hinge Kit (Part Number: OEM12030648)

Kenneth, There has been a change by the manufacturer. " A change has been implemented to the hinge and receptacle parts installed on all Single, Combo, and Convenience Wall Ovens. Existing hinge and receptacle parts will not fit on upgraded models, and new hinge and receptacle parts will not fit on old models. On the models listed in the table below, an upgraded model can be identified by a serial prefix number. When servicing models manufactured prior to the serial prefix number change, a kit consisting of the hinge and receptacle is required. When servicing models manufactured after the serial prefix number change, the hinge or receptacle may be replaced as a separate item. " We will need the model and serial number of your wall oven, in order to advise you of the proper parts to order. Thanks,

Ruth for Model Number JennAir Double Oven

One of the doors on my JennAir double oven will not close properly. There is a number, #8114p955-60, but I have been told that it is not the model #. The last appliance repair man said that he could replace the door without a model number. Apparently, the manufacturer’s manual cannot be located. I did do some research and found that the previous homeowners purchased the ovens from Sears. Sears had that info in their database, but no model #. The house is going on the market, so I have to repair the door. I understand that there is a hinge kit that will fix the problem, but I don't know which one to order.

Nancy for Model Number JMW9530DAS

I have the same issue as everyone else: door won't close all the way, heat leaking out, oven light stays on. How do I determine whether I need to replace the hinges AND hinge receptacles or just the hinges? The door frame is not warped by the hinges. The door does not seal as tightly as it used to. There doesn't appear to be any visible wear to the receptacles (I haven't taken the oven out of the wall to thoroughly inspect). Lastly, the hinges do not look like they are loose or that the door is about to fall off. Looking forward to your expert advice.

Hello Benny, The door hinges are part number WP74010284. Two are required so you would need to order two of these. In case the hinge receiver is the part needed, they are part number WP74011337. Two of these are required also, so you would also need to order two of these if needed.
