Henmc November 03, 2014 for Model Number KENMORE DRYER /96580100 Dryer works fine but the buzzer will not shut off at the end of drying cycle.
1 Answer HenMC, This issue would most likely be caused by a bad centrifugal switch in the motor of the unit and the motor part number is 279827. Read More...
Jan August 14, 2014 for Model Number LE6150xs I have a Whirlpool dryer LE6150xs and when the cycle ends the buzzer goes off but will not stop buzzing unless I open the door and keep it propped open.
1 Answer Jan, The most likely cause for the buzzer to continually buzz at the end of the cycle would be a faulty timer. Read More...
Don July 31, 2014 for Model Number LSR5233E02 Can I put a buzzer in my Whirlpool Washer or Can a technician do it? Thanks.
Dustin June 11, 2014 for Model Number NED5100TQ1 When I try to start my dryer it buzzes. I checked the continuity on all fuses and sensors and they where all good. Checked the buzzer and it had none so I changed it put new one in and it does the same thing. I jumped the buzzer wires and the dryer worked but wouldn't turn off unless I opened the door. Is this the timer switch and if so can I jump the wires and bypass the buzzer to dry a load of cloths
1 Answer Dustin, it"s not likely either the timer or the buzzer. You most likely have a weak motor winding 279827 and the power is taking the path of least resistance and making the buzzer, buzz. disconnecting the buzzer, eliminates the path of least resistance and the dryer will start and run. Jim C. April 05, 2014 for Model Number 11066722694 My question is my Kenmore series 70 electric dryer will not switch on. Months ago i replaced the heat element and thermo unit. Today I replaced the push to start switch and the door switch, and still nothing. There is power to the dryer as the intertor light comes on. Can any one offer some suggestions??
1 Answer Jim, You need to check the dryer thermal fuse WP3392519. It is mounted on the blower housing, If the fuse "opens" (usually due to an overheating situation) It will not allow power to the motor, and the dryer won't start or run. This fuse is a "one shot" fuse and does not reset, it has to be replaced if it has an "open" circuit. Read More...
Pat February 03, 2014 for Model Number LNC8745A71 After watching the video and reading the previous questions, I think I need to replace the buzzer. I just had service on my dryer since it would not run. Now, it will run, gets hot and clothes are dry even stops when clothes are dry--just won't buzz. Are there other things I should consider?
1 Answer Hello Pat. If there is power coming to the buzzer and it does not buzz, you will need to replace the buzzer. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Chris January 26, 2014 for Model Number Kenmore 80 series dryer Hi, I hate the buzzer on this model dryer, especially when running the auto-dry cycle. It goes off for 5-6 seconds and it's soooo loud. Wakes the baby. The unit functions fine and it's not malfunctioning. I just hate the way it functions. This model does not have an option to turn off the buzzer. Two wires feed it: tan and black. What would be the harm in just removing the buzzer and taping the leads up? Would I need to splice them together first? I'd like to remove or disable the buzzer. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Chris, We might be able to assist you in the wiring of this unit if we had the model number from the units' I.D. tag. Without a wiring diagram, we cannot tell if this would disable any features of the unit or not. You would definitely not want to splice the wires together as this would create a dead short which would trip the breaker when the buzzer should sound and might possibly cause a fire hazard and/or cause damage to the unit. 1 Answer Hello Luis. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater and thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. James January 08, 2014 I replaced a timer on a Kenmore Electric Dryer. Now when I start the dryer, the buzzer goes off and keeps buzzing until drying cycle is done. I have checked the wiring and everything to be wired right. Could I have a defective buzzer?
1 Answer Hello James. You need to check and make sure you wired the timer properly. It sounds like it is wrong. Read More...
Karen November 10, 2013 for Model Number estate dryer My dryer just quit working in middle of a drying clycle I tested the parts and the buzzer part #694419 shows bad. Question is can I bypass this and why would a buzzer make the dryer stop, I can set the timer push to start but only "hear" the timer going?
1 Answer Hello Karen. It is not the buzzer. You need to check the thermal fuse and the door switch on the unit. Also, if the unit has a belt switch, look for a broke belt. Read More...
