Tom M. June 21, 2011 for Model Number lsb6200kq0 How do I take the top off to replace the lid safety switch?
1 Answer Hello Tom. You will need to remove the screws in the back corners of the control panel and flip the panel backwards. Then remove the wires going to the lid switch and the two brass colored clips. The cabinet will pull forward and slide off the unit. You can now access the lid switch. Reinstall in reverse order. Mel June 10, 2011 for Model Number RAS6233DQ0 My washer starts off washing, then it stops in the middle of the cycle and does not spin. I have to push the swith under the lid to make it start. What do I need for this? Do I need part #AP3100003 and AP3018001? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Mel! It could possibly be the switch going bad, your model takes lid switch part number WP8318084. Make sure that the lid is aligned properly and the hinge 8318088 is in place. The model you have supplied RAS6233DQ0, did not pull up so we are using a model RAS6233PQ0 to supply part numbers. The part numbers given will be the part numbers needed, unless your model is different. Thanks. Read More...

Lou May 23, 2011 for Model Number LSR7133KQ0 Is replacing the lid switch on a Whirlpool LSR7133KQ0 a difficult process? Is it something a homeowner can do?
1 Answer Hello Lou! Replacing that lid switch is actually fairly easy. After removing the top panel of the washer, the switch is held in by a few screws on a bracket. Remove those, unplug the old switch, and then plug in the new one. If you order the part and have any troubles installing it, you can visit the repair forum on our website and the techs there can provide additional info.
