Hello Jamar, You will want to check your thermal fuses to make sure that they are good. When checking the thermal fuses, unplug unit and disconnect the wires on the fuse. Check for continuity on the fuses and also on the thermostats and if no continuity then the thermal fuse is bad and needs to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Hi George. The timer is part # WP3976569. If the timer motor keeps the timer contacts activated it will keep the timer in constant rotation. Are you sure the timer skirt is misplaced on the timer shaft 180° out of phase? There is nothing out of ordinary on this gas dryer that would effect it elsewhere. It is possible the previous technicians timer out of the box was bad (it happens on any man made part). Give this a try. Let us know how to assist you further. Thank You.

Hello Elizabeth. Unplug the unit and remove the back panel off the control panel. Now, remove the knob off the switch by pulling it off. Then remove the push to start switch and wire the new switch 279173 as the old one was wired. There are markings on the switch to help you do this. Hope this helps.

Hello Bob, you will need a multi meter MA-DM1. You can test any of the contacts on the switch, when you are pressing in on the switch you will get a closed reading showing you are getting continuity. Once you release it you should not get a reading, meaning the switch is doing exactly what it should. Here is a link you can refer to for help with using a multi meter: http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html . Hope this helps!
