Jerry April 15, 2014 for Model Number Maytag MSD2553WEW00 side-by-side refrigerator. I have a Maytag MSD2553WEW00 model side-by-side refrigerator. It has been in service less than two years Both the refrigerator and freezer sections have stopped cooling. Interior lights and freezer fan (may have very slight cooling effect) are functioning. Any suggestions? Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Jerry, If the fans do not run you will probably need to replace the adaptive defrost control 4388932. If the fans are running you will need to pull the unit out and remove the start relay from the side of the compressor and shake it. If it rattles, it will need to be replaced to start the compressor. If the compressor is already running, you should remove the rear freezer wall and check the frost pattern. It should be even at least 3/4 of the way down. If there is frost an inch thick only on the very top of the evaporator coils, this is an indication of an air circulation problem. The air return into the bottom of the freezer section and on the fresh food side should be checked for obstructions. Also check the fan motor for normal full speed operation. Read More...
Johnny April 05, 2014 for Model Number IS25AGXRQ02 My main problem is low water flow from water dispenser, or there is no water pressure.The ice dispenser is working good.So if I release the filter from the filter housing or don't use the filter the water flow is strong and normal . Kybbwgal February 25, 2014 for Model Number ED22PEXHT02 Water dispenser in the door suddenly doesnt' work but we hear sound coming from a motor when we depress the lever. The ice maker still dispenses ice but not 100% sure it is making ice. The sound from the water filling the tray in the ice maker part is "funny" sounding, not like it was before. Does this sound like a water fill valve or motor switch error? Is there some simple troubleshooting I can do in addition to the multimeter tests?

Ajay January 29, 2014 for Model Number KSSO42QMB My water dispenser is not working for my Kitchenaid side by side. The ice maker is making ice and it dispenses. When I press the water paddle it will click but no water comes out. Would this be the micro switch. Also, the unit has wood panelling on it, so how do you get to the dispenser panel off to get to the micro switch?
1 Answer Ajay, At the bottom of the door there is a water connection. Disconnect the water line and push the dispenser and see if the water comes out.
