Randy October 30, 2014 for Model Number KDRP467KSS0 NEXT QUESTION; WHERE IS THE RELAY BOARD LOCATED AT? Responding to the answer below. I already changed out the oven temp sesnor in feb 2014. next step please OUR OVEN IS ACTING UP - IRREGULAR 1. IT WOULD NOT COME UP TO TEMPERATURE AFTER USING THE CLEAN CYCLE 2. AFTER A FEW DAYS IT CAME UP TO TMEPERATURE AND WORKED FOR A FEW MONTHS FINE 3. IT SEEMS TO ACT UP WHEN YOU CHANGE TEMPATURES AFTER TURNING ON OR CHANGING CYLES FROM BAKE, BROIL 4. WHAT PART IS CAUSING MY ISSUES Randy for Model Number KDRP467KSS0 Answer Randy, the more likely issue is a faulty oven temp. sensor W10131825 or loose connection in the harness. Quite often the high temperatures produced in the self clean cycle, can disrupt the resistance and cause erratic temperatures in the oven. The thermostat 8300802 may not be the issue, because the oven heats, but it would be a good preventative move to replace it as well. Corby April 14, 2014 for Model Number GW395LEPB00 My oven will pre-heat to the desired temp from a cold start, but if we shut it off and then try to make something a short time later (while the oven is still warm) the temp will only get to around 225 degrees F. It will hold at that temp, though. I am thinking about replacing the control board, but I have not seen any error codes.
1 Answer Hello Corby. Check the bake element and see if it is bad. If not, it may be a oven sensor or control board issue, You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Mari December 01, 2013 for Model Number Kitchenaid KDRP467kss08 I have to replace either the thermal fuse or the thermostat on my oven. I've located the thermal fuse on the control board from accessing via removal of the front panel. But where is the thermostat? I cannot see it, and the diagrams I've found on line are not helpful. Is it near the control panel? Or do I need to open up the inner panels that access the burner units (that seems rather complicated!) Also, I have not tested the fuse yet. Do I remove it to test it? If so, how do I remove it? Thank you so much for your help, I'm just a mom trying to figure this out after paying too many $$$ to repairmen who were not able to fix it (spent $500 and it is still broken).
1 Answer Mari, The thermostat is located on the back of the unit and is under the cover in the back of the unit. When you pull the unit out, remove the screws attaching the rear panel and it would be located on the back of unit near the heating elements. Read More...
Mari August 29, 2013 for Model Number KDRP467KSS08 kitchenaid duel fuel range The stove is fine. The oven won't turn on, the control Panel is off, oven lights off. Was not Using the oven auto clean cycle, but was cooking at 425 Degrees when it died. Tried to re-boot - no effect. A serviceman said it is getting power, so he replaced control board part 8302210. That did not fix it. Then he said it must be the oven control part 8186393. We replaced it ourselves , still broken. could it Be thermal fuse part 8300802 or similar part w10017820? How can we figure it out ourselves?
1 Answer Hello Mari. Either the transformaer WP9760588 or the thermal fuse WP4456654 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Jim March 16, 2013 for Model Number GW395LEPB05 PROPANE The oven temperature randomly spikes. When set to 350 it will jump to 550 plus. I have changed the oven sensor, part # W10131825. This did not seem to solve the problem. What interprets the signal from the oven sensor. Is it the thermostat-tod-temp-8300802 or a control circuit board? Thanks for your help. -- Jim
1 Answer Jim, The clock/control board would read the resistance of the oven sensor. If the oven sensor has been replaced but you are having spiking of temps then the control board would be the problem. Read More...
Dean H July 01, 2012 for Model Number KGSA906PSS AP3086326 is the thermostat switch. How do I access this part to check for continuity? Door is locked and control panel dark. Power to oven okay. Top burners ignite. This occurred after self-cleaning.
1 Answer Dean, The TOD WP8300802 is located on the back of the range. You'll need to disconnect the power and the gas, slide the unit out, enough to get behind it and remove the rear cover panel. You also want to check the oven door and seal, and cooling fan for proper operation, any air flow issues can cause the thermal fuse to open and turn power off to the control. Thanks Read More...
Joe February 29, 2012 for Model Number kgsa906pss During the self clean cycle the oven went blank, I removed the thermostat, part number ap3086326, and jumped it out. The panel display lit up and the oven door unlocked. I checked the thermostat part num ap3086326 for continuity. It had zero continuity. I am assuming that this part is bad. My question is, is it supposed to be open with no continuity or closed with continuity?
1 Answer Hello Joe. The thermostat WP8300802 should read closed for continuity. If it is open, you will need to replace the thermostat. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
