Mari for Model Number Kitchenaid KDRP467kss08 I have to replace either the thermal fuse or the thermostat on my oven. I've located the thermal fuse on the control board from accessing via removal of the front panel. But where is the thermostat? I cannot see it, and the diagrams I've found on line are not helpful. Is it near the control panel? Or do I need to open up the inner panels that access the burner units (that seems rather complicated!) Also, I have not tested the fuse yet. Do I remove it to test it? If so, how do I remove it? Thank you so much for your help, I'm just a mom trying to figure this out after paying too many $$$ to repairmen who were not able to fix it (spent $500 and it is still broken).
Answer Mari, The thermostat is located on the back of the unit and is under the cover in the back of the unit. When you pull the unit out, remove the screws attaching the rear panel and it would be located on the back of unit near the heating elements. Read More...
