Gerome May 14, 2012 for Model Number Model no. LGR3624JQ2 My dryer turns around, but no heat coming out..
1 Answer Hello Gerome. You will need to test the thermostats W11050897 and the flame sensor WP338906 and make sure they are good. They should read closed for continuity. Also, check the igniter and make sure it is getting hot enough to light the gas. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter for the testing procedures. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

1 Answer Hello Mary. A few parts could cause your issues. The most common is the dryer's cycling thermostat WP3387134. This part can be tested with a multi meter MA-DM1. Bas March 31, 2011 for Model Number LGR4634EQ1 My timer does not move after starting the dryer and there is no heat.
1 Answer Bas, have you started the dryer and let it run in the "timed Dry" setting, to see if it will advance, it should wether the dryer heats or not. If the timer does not advance you can be 95% sure, you'll need a timer, or you have a wiring problem. There is a 1"X1" square plastic cover on the left lower side of the front panel. remove that panel, it is an inspection opening, you can observe the ignition process and determine what is or is not occurring : When you start the dryer, there should be a click, then you should see an orange glow in a few seconds, it should glow for a few more seconds and you should hear a click the glow will start to fade and the gas should be ignited and you'll have a flame. Some indications, no first click / No power to gas valve , no glow / broken igniter or bad flame sensor, glows but no fade or click/ bad flame sensor, everything works proper but no flame/ignition/ bad gas valve coils or no gas to unit. Hope this was helpfull. Read More...

Paul February 18, 2011 Hello. Until recently my dyer has started as soon as I turn the timer to a drying cycle without having to push start. Today it does not start at all. Does this sound like a bad timer or start switch or something else? Thanks Paul
