Frank for Model Number WED8300SW2

The dryer was running last night and mid-cycle it just died. I checked the fuse and it had not blown. I had the apartment service team check the fuse and the dryer is getting 210V instead of 220V but that may have been the case all along. There is no indication of power on the control panel or the light in the drum. I checked the power cord and all the connections are tight. So based on the service manual it seems the next step is to replace the CONSOLE ELECTRONICS AND HOUSING ASSEMBLY unless hopefully the lower line voltage is the cause. So my question is if the 210V line voltage would cause the dryer to stop and be completely unresponsive? Thanks

Hello Frank. The voltage tested should read 240 VAC. If it is 210 VAC, then you defiantly have a power issue.

Hello Holly, If this WP8571955 is the part with the broken wire, it will most likely need to be replaced since soldering on the board without proper grounding equipment fore the soldering iron will normally shoot the board.

Ken for Model Number wed8300sw0

I sent a question earlier about my whirlpool duet sport dryer having a f-02 error code problem and have replaced the user interface panel 8571955. The dryer runs and seems to cycle properly, but from time to time the wrinkle shield button lights and beeps. I ran it through diagnostics and the same f-02 error code is there. Could it be a bad part or something else? There is some discussion mentioning the control panel. The dryer did overheat due to a plugged dryer vent which seems to be where it all started. Any suggestions?

Hello Ken. F-02 Keypad/User Interface Failure. F-02 flashes when there is a stuck button or user interface mismatch. Replace the control panel on the unit.

Hello Harry, Usually, when a fault code is presented on a unit that is not listed as a valid fault code, it is usually a bad control board WPW10111606. The WP8571955 could be an issue but this is the user interface and is usually not the cause of this type issue.
