Jean September 22, 2022 for Model Number WED8300SW0 Hello - my dryer will not power on. I tested the thermal fuse and it apparently has continuity. The instructions say the next thing is to replace the electronic control board ( i think part no AP6013405). Is there anything else to test to confirm this is the faulty part? Thanks for your help. J
1 Answer Hello Jean, power to the motor to run comes out of the main control board at connector P9-1 (light blue wire), if after pressing the Start pad and you hear a slight click check for 120v at that terminal if no power then replace that board,WPW10111606, it is mounted to the top middle of the left side cabinet under the top. Tim R June 08, 2022 for Model Number WED8300SW1 The dryer powers on but when we press the start button, we here a click but it does not start. This has been a problem a few times but if we moved the selector knob, it would come on and dry ok. The vent line is 8 feet up and then 8 feet out so it never has dried real good. I cleaned the vent out recently and didn't seem to help but not won't start at all although the panel lights up.
1 Answer Tim, You will want to test the door switch, thermal fuse that is on the blower housing and the belt switch to make sure that they are good. Read More...

Jeffrey May 16, 2018 Hello and thank you for your assistance. Re: Whirlpool WED8300SW0 dryer: operation is erratic and drying times and displays do not correspond to drying choices on the dial. No error codes. There are two electronic boards which could be the problem: either the user interface board WP8571955 or the electronic control board WPW10111606. Since both parts are in excess of $200.00, Is it possible to narrow down the suspect part? The dryer interior was subjected to heat when the exhaust pipe inside the dryer separated. Again thank you for your time.
1 Answer Jeffrey, For this issue the most likely cause for this will be a control board WPW10111606. Read More...
Richard March 19, 2018 for Model Number WED8500SRO My dryer takes too long to dry. It produces plenty of heat but jumps up in minutes and then drops down and is finished. I have cleaned the unit and checked the blower fan and it is ok. Could it be the control panel or something else? There are two control boards, one in the top and one in the top front, could it be one or both? Could not find the number on the top front. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Richard, Since the air flow carries the moisture away from the clothes, if the unit is taking more than one cycle to dry them, the issue will be with the air flow. The issue is most commonly caused by a crimped or clogged duct from the back of the dryer to the outside atmosphere. Read More...
Eric P September 01, 2017 for Model Number WED8300SW1 The control knob does not alway seat such that the chosen action will not start. With some jiggling of the knob, appropriate contact is made and the chosen function then works.
1 Answer Eric, If the knob is not damaged then this will be an issue with the control board on the unit which will be part number WP8571955. Read More...
John October 01, 2016 for Model Number WGD85000SRO When you try and use the dryer, nothing happens including the blower motor. Pulled it apart to check for voltage at the motor and found there is a circuit board which I think distributes amongst other things the power to the motor. Because the difficulty to reach the motor to take reads there I was hoping someone may have experienced this before?? Thank you.
1 Answer Hello John. You will need to check for a broken belt, bad door switch, or bad thermal fuse. Any of the 3 can cause your issue. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Tom July 23, 2016 for Model Number WED8300SW2 My dryer has stopped heating. Everything else seems to work properly. I checked the heating element, thermal cutoff, and thermostat. All appear to be OK. I also replaced the thermistor (it was easy and cheap). Still does not heat. The only clue is that when I put it in diagnostic mode I get an F-02 error; however, all of the lights and buttons on the control panel appear to be working OK. Would appreciate any help! Thanks in advance!
1 Answer Hello Tom. You will need to order and replace the main board WPW10111606 on the unit. Read More...
