Replaced clutch assembly, gearcase input shaft seal and motor coupler. When I disassembled the washer I realized the shaft seal on the top of the gearcase was leaking and not the input shaft seal. So had to order more parts before I could finish this job. Altogether I replaced agitator dogs, both seals on the gearcase, the clutch assembly and the motor coupler. I had to remove my dryer so I could install a new floor. The dryer would not fit through the doorway with the power cord attached. Since the power cord was fastened to the back using 3 phillip headed screws, I gently backed them out with a phillip headed screwdriver. However, two of the 3 screws gave me extreme trouble. I took it apart and cleaned and lubricated the rear support rollers and the belt pulley roller. I think the squealing was coming from the pulley roller. I then replaced the rear felt as it was badly deteriorated. The dryer now runs much more smoothly and quietly. Read more

Ordered a new drain hose and extension part. The prices including shipping were more reasonable than driving back and forth to the store just to piece meal parts together. Very frustrating. Motor control board was flashing 4 times, indicating that the mode shifter had an error. I disconnected the mode shifter's wire from the controller and measured the resistance between the 2 leads with an ohmmeter. I bought an ignitor at a local store as there was a national holiday the next day and I did not want the dryer inoperative waiting several days for shipping.
