Intermittent speed control on kitchenaid 7qt stand mixer Anthony C. • Westminster , CO • November 26, 2014
Unplug the unit from power.
Remove decorative aluminum band from motor enclosure by removing single screw at rear of mixer.
Remove screws (now exposed) which secure the top half of the motor enclosure.
Using a 1/8" punch, tap-out the pin that penetrates the planetary gear cover and the motor shaft (takes some finesse to avoid damage to the painted/coated planetary. It is a tight fit!) This will allow the planetary gear and cover to drop.
Now the motor and gear unit can be removed. Do so...

The Dishwasher Micro Switch is an OEM part for LG dishwashers. It plays a crucial role in detecting the door's position, ensuring the dishwasher only operates when the door is securely closed. This switch helps maintain safety and proper functioning during the wash cycle.
Causes of a bad micro switch can include wear and tear from regular use, electrical malfunctions, or physical damage. A compromised micro switch can prevent the dishwasher from starting or stopping correctly.
Symptoms of a bad dishwasher micro switch include:
- The dishwasher not starting or stopping unexpectedly
- Error codes related to door issues
- The door not locking securely during operation
- Unresponsive control panel or buttons
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.

Lg dishwasher “ne” or “ue” error code (vario spray arm). Dimitri T. • Cranston , RI • February 26, 2019
This was a very simple repair. It was done in about an hour. It involves disconnecting the dishwasher, emptying the water from the inside, taking it out and flipping it over, and replacing the diverter motor. This repair is done on the underside of the dishwasher, nothing to disconnect inside (just remember to remove the baskets). It would be wise to order the motor seal and micro switch that goes with it as they are all cheap parts and easy to swap out during the procedure. Be sure to take...

The switch stopped working Kirk B. • Pelham , AL • March 24, 2014
Initially performed troubleshooting over the phone with Bosch customer support and did preliminary research on the web. Ultimately had to call out service technician to isolate/confirm problem. He confirmed the problem was most likely the switch (if not, the actually computer processor) and gave me the part number (since it was going to take 10 BD's for him to get the part). I ordered through Appliance Parts Pros and received the part in only 2 days. However, upon trying to install it, I...

Broken fascia on Bosch dishwasher. Jerry's W. • Washougal , WA • November 19, 2017
The old fascia had broken and been torn off. I should have saved the buttons from it, but I didn't know that I'd be repairing it - I figured I would have to replace the unit. Well, money is tight, so I got the model number from the unit and looked up parts online. I couldn't find the exact model number on this site, but the picture of the fascia looked just like the picture in my manual, so I bought it, a handle strip, and a new set of buttons.
I pulled the stainless panel off the front, then...

The top plastic panel facia which houses the handle to open the door broke the panel is held on with two screws at the bottom which is a stress point and design flaw Randy E. • Hancock , ME • September 01, 2017
The parts from AppliancePartsPros.com arrived a day ahead of schedule. (I'm a big APP.com fan.) I removed the metal front door panel, then removed the broken plastic Panel-Facia which houses the handle. Because the buttons and handle trim needed to be transferred from the old Panel-Facia to the new one, I expected that, also being plastic, they may break when making the transfer, so I ordered all of those parts as well, which only drove the cost up about $32. If I broke one item in the...

Top panel facia broke after several years. Dave H. • Watkinsville , GA • February 22, 2021
I ordered a new Panel/Facia and bought replacement buttons just to be safe. All were pretty easy, but two things to BE CAREFUL about that are important. First, watch the videos about how to remove and replace the facia panel because if you do it improperly you will easily break the plastic tabs and be screwed. Secondly, The five-button MUST BE INSTALLED IN THE RIGHT ORDER. They are different from each other and the DW will not work if you don't notice that, they have letters that are...

Genuine Bosch part
By: Bosch
Part Number: 00184590
The Push Button is an OEM component specifically designed for select Bosch dishwashers. Installed on the control panel, its durable silicone-coated switch reliably operates cycles. Smooth travel withstands repeated use while maintaining tactile feedback.
Causes of push-button failure commonly involve contact degradation from steam exposure. Cracks in the silicone introduce debris requiring periodic replacement.
Causes of a bad push button can involve:
- Unresponsive or stuck on cycles
- Flashing error codes without cause
- Difficulty changing selected options
Symptoms of a faulty push button include intermittent operations as the controller struggles to interpret signals. Replacement ensures trouble-free functionality.
This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with some Thermador, Blomberg, and Miele dishwashers. Replace to retain convenient cycle selection through heavy usage over the appliance's lifetime.
