Stripped knobs which broke inside of control panel shorted start switch Amy O. • Raleigh , NC • August 31, 2016
After unplugging the dryer, I removed knobs and control panel. I removed the 3 connectors to start switch. I had to cut and replace one connector due to shorted wire which burnt the connector. I attached new connector and then attached these to start switch. I then remounted all three switches to new control panel and reattached control panel to dryer. Plugged in and started right up! Thank you for the helpful video.

Frigidaire electric dryer in auto dry when started the status would immediately change from drying to cool down in timed dry status drying stayed lite but no heat Keith N. • Hooksett , NH • September 19, 2014
Downloaded the Frigidaire Service Manual for Electric 5.8 cubic foot dryer from the ApplicanePartsPro.com forum. Used its information to check for error codes. None display. Ran the function test sequence. All the tests OK.
Used a mutli-meter to check the circuit to the moisture sensor bars inside the door. Thought maybe the circuit could be open due to a loose plug or broken wire. This could signal the control board that the clothes are dry. This all checked OK.
Since the top four...

Dryer timer faulty Whirlpool ultimate care ii Sabine S. • Bellingham , WA • December 05, 2023
My dryer would only start (and keep running) after a lot of fiddling with the timer to find a position that "worked." The machine wouldn't turn on when the timer was set in the dry-sensor region, and eventually, it stayed running only when we pressed the timer button. As soon as the pressure was off, the dryer stopped. Clearly that wasn't sustainable.
I'd been putting off the repair because our dryer vent situation is tricky; once disconnected it's a real bear to reconnect. Watching the...
