Bad compressor Larry P. • La Center , WA • January 21, 2019
Purchased a replacement COMPRESSOR. The compress or was a replacement for MFG. P/N 5304478809. The compressor was not an exact replacement. There was no port identification so the connections took a lot of time searching the net and then only the suction port was noted. I had to operate the compressor to be sure of the discharge port. The start relay on the original had no power plug as the new one did so had to improvise by cutting the wiring and adding 1/8 push on clips and then sliding on to...

This is a start relay device that attaches to the compressor and provides the initial electrical boost needed to start the compressor motor. Cooling fan runs but compressor tries to start and kicks out Dave F. • Painesville , OH • November 10, 2015
I read alot of blogs about the same similar symptom, but none described by exact problem. I kept reading how the compressor relay would make a click noise or sisal. I also found out the overload switch could cause a like symptom. The end result being that upon removal of the relay, it was discolored and made a rattling noise when shook.
