Lack of cooling, hot air in freezer. Curtis L. • Pasco , WA • September 23, 2019
First I took the technical data sheet off the back of the unit, it was in a brown envelop taped and tucked into the lower equipment cover. Then I compared information from Appliance Parts Pros to the data sheet, matched up the probable culprit parts, and ordered defrost thermostat and defrost control. They arrived promptly..
Unplug the unit from the wall. The defrost control is located in the same space as the light, two screws and the small panel drops down, a tip is to use a short #2...

Ice build up in the back of the freezer Eugene O. • Mira Loma , CA • August 17, 2015
Order part at appliancepartspros.com *( Heater and Thermal Assy. ) and with that I watch a video on how to repair my fridge. It took me about 15 minutes to replace the parts. I think it took me longer than that to watch the video itself because I want to make sure that I will do it right. Replacing a part is very easy, now after two weeks my refrigerator is running good so far !!!!

After searching refrigerator videos of related problems I found AppliancePartsPros.com and inquired about replacing the Dispenser Assembly board on the front door. During the several-month malfunction period, the freezer and refrigerator were working before they finally stopped. That lead to a discussion with an APP customer rep who asked me to describe the problem and then reviewed their log of prior customer reviews & Fixit comments with me. Using the model number of the frig, I located the part (Interface Dispenser Asm) on the AppliancePartsPros.com. After reading the Q&A section for hints on how to change the part and looking at a couple of YouTube videos, it seemed that I was up to the task. I placed the order for the part and was pleasantly surprised that it arrived in a couple of days. Had error code sy ce. Robert G. • Rockwood , PA • October 16, 2019
I order both boards because everyone said one board did not fix the problem, until they ordered the other board because the new board does not communicate with new one. Well I replaced the board behind where the error was. That seemed to fix the problem. I never changed the main board under the fridge. So I would say try ordering the board behind where error code is. See if that fixes the problem before ordering both boards.

I had had the same problem 4 or 5 years ago and spent close to $200 to repair it.
I did have the slip from that repair with part #'s so I went ahead and ordered a defrost timer and thermostat.
You-tube had plenty of videos on replacing those parts and even before they arrived I was able to add a switch and bypass the broken thermostat and start a cycle manually with the timer. (which it seems was was still functional).
