Ge profile washer wpgt9350 would not complete spin cycle indicating the load was out of balance this occured even when there was no load in the tub Patty R. • Mandeville , LA • January 09, 2015
Initially contacted an appliance repair man from a national, reputable company recommended by GE. He diagnosed a water pump problem over the phone. Washer won't agitate or spin? A worn stator prevents the motor from generating the magnetic field needed to operate. Moderate DIY repair, about 2 hours.
Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
Made a loud noise while spinning. Gregg H. • Bismarck , ND • July 19, 2017
Took the back cover off, noticed the bolt holding the rotor on was broke off in the shaft which wore the stator and rotor. So I drilled out the broken bolt and extracted it with an easy out and replaced the stator the rotor and the bolt. Works great ! I maybe had 2 hours time in it and that includes taking it out of the laundry room and into the garage to work on it and back.
