The washer would not go into spin mode only partial wash and drain Karen T. • Dearborn Heights , MI • August 11, 2017
The part is so new no video so I went onto a similar part and watched video that got me about 80%. Then, called and customer service sent me a service Manual but this still was not specific so I broke the old to get it out and in the process figured out how to do it correctly. So I installed the last bit of it which was the bezel through the machine top by myself correctly. So you take the old one out by pushing out to the right from the bottom side using a screw driver for leverage. It will...

Our washing machine filled then began washing the wife opened the lid to add one more item and it would no longer wash or spin Chris J. • Lakeland , FL • January 02, 2018
First I checked the circuit breakers and power to the outlet, then next wanted to check the lid switch, but it wasn't where I had found it on older models. I could hear it clicking on and off as I raised and lowered the lid, but it wasn't visible. I drained the tub through a siphon hose to lighten the machine, so I could slide it away from the wall to better see. Couldn't see the switch anywhere and decided it must be hiding in the raised console, but was unsure of how to attack it without...

E0 code replaced drain pump and circulating motor the door switch assembly was separate issue. Ann M. • Coral Springs , FL • May 09, 2020
Superfast parts delivery. Got packages by the second day. Videos were extremely helpful and well done; we couldn't have done without them although we came across slight differences in our machine and found workarounds. Our machine did not drain the water so I drained the water manually via drain tube at bottom of the machine and checked the filter for blockage. All clear so I read articles on the internet and watched videos and took a chance on replacing the drain pump and circulating motor...

Unscrewed door latch and replaced it with the new door latch (1-2 min). Unscrewed outer plate from door lock assembly. Removed door lock assembly from its outer plate and unplugged wiring. Replaced with new door lock assembly, plugged back in, tightened some screws, double-checked alignment between latch & lock assembly was good and the project was done. Incredibly easy and saved about $150 not having a repair tech come out to fix it.

The Magnetic Door Plunger is an OEM part for LG washing machines. It is designed to securely hold the door in a closed position during the operation cycle, employing a magnet mechanism for enhanced reliability. The plunger ensures that the door latch is properly engaged, preventing the machine from running if the door is not closed correctly.
Causes of a bad Magnetic Door Plunger can include wear and tear from constant use, failure of the magnetic mechanism due to exposure to moisture or mechanical damage, or a misalignment that prevents the door from closing properly.
Symptoms of a bad Magnetic Door Plunger include:
- The washing machine door not staying closed during cycles.
- The machine failing to start due to a door sensor not detecting closure.
- Random pausing of the machine during operation if the door unlatches.
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.

Broken tab on old magnet holder Joel E. • Granite Falls , NC • December 27, 2016
This was a super-easy repair. You have to line up the spring so that it sits on the bumps inside the magnet holder and the door, then you have to line up the tabs on the magnet holder so they will slide into the slots on the door. Then you just push it in. Repair took less than a minute.

Our washer wouldn't rinse spin or drain Jan C. • Somerville , MA • April 23, 2015
My son was doing his laundry, only to announce that the washer wouldn't rinse, spin or drain. I looked on line at new washers and was staggered to see how much they cost, our Whirlpool is 20 years old! Then I looked on Craig's list to see about getting a used washer, but when I found something that looked good, and looked up how it performed, most of them had terrible reviews. So, I looked at a video that told about the 5 most common things to go wrong and figured out it was a broken lid...

Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: W10810403
The Latch is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. It is essential for securing the dishwasher door during operation, ensuring that the door stays closed and the dishwasher can run its cycles effectively. The latch mechanism also engages the door switch, which signals the dishwasher to start its cycle.
Over time, latches can wear out or become damaged due to repeated use, exposure to moisture, or accidental force. A malfunctioning latch can prevent the dishwasher from starting or lead to leaks during operation.
Symptoms of a bad Latch include:
- Dishwasher door not staying closed
- Dishwasher not starting
- Leaks around the door during a wash cycle
- The door latch feeling loose or not engaging properly
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
Note: This lock has a White bezel. For the Grey bezel, order W10861642.

LG washing machine would not shut off cold water during rinse cycle Richard W. • Denton , TX • May 22, 2018
Conducted research on web, and via direct contact with AppliancePros where a diagnosis of replacing the water inlet valve and cleaning the sensor tube would "most probably" (80%) handle the issue. The remaining uncertainty would reside in the electronic board circuitry. The price of replacing the water inlet valve was half of a local repair call just to diagnose the issue so I decided to have faith in the odds presented to me. The part arrived on time, and using AppliancePros advice and...
