• Door won't close

I chatted with a rep on Appliance Parts Pros and found out which parts I needed for my model of dryer. Ordered the 2 clips that held the door closed. They arrived the next day!! My dryer was very different than the video but we were able to figure out which screws to remove. The old clips popped out and the new ones popped in. Took about 30 minutes because of there being a top and bottom clip to remove and replace and line up the door parts to screw the screws back in. It works great!! I... Read more

Followed the video- opened the front of the dryer and removed the drum. It was evident that one of the wheels had worn and wasn't turning freely like the other one. The video showed how to remove the roller. Very simple process and now the dryer works just fine. Read more

Removed LP Orifice and LP Gas limiter. Orifice was easy, however the gas limiter was the tricky one because I had no instructions to what went where. I could not find anything online as to how to convert from LP to Natural Gas, but you could find several things as to how to convert from Natural to LP. I ended up finding the Dryer schematic on line for the Whirlpool Duet natural gas dryer and was able to figure out what sequence the Spring, regulator and limiter went in. The order I just... This was actually one of the easiest fixes I’ve done. All that was required was to remove 3 screws to remove the broken part. I used a pair of pliers to remove the moisture sensors from the broken part to the new one. Read more

Confirmed parts needed through online chat with tech and followed video instructions for dryer conversion. Found a video online for range conversion. Replaced orifices for stove top and adjusted oven burner orifices and air shutters and inverted pin in pressure regulator to natural gas position. All went well with no problems, about an hour and a half to gather tools and complete both jobs. Probably could be done faster but I was taking my time. Read more

I replaced the cycle switch, fixing the lack of heat. The timer switch replacement fixed the auto cool down. I watched a cycle switch replacement on Youtube, demonstrating removal of the top console, which answered the only question I had about the repair. The timer switch was a hundred bucks. The only thing to be said about that is that it was a lot cheaper than a repairman or replacing the dryer. Read more

One day my wife went to bake something and the bake/broil buttons as well as #3, #9, and oven light ceased to work. Local repair guy came by and wanted to charge $500 to fix it....YEAH RIGHT! Did a little homework and found this website, spoke with knowledgable staff who pointed me in the right direction. I undid the top with a putty knife, took out two screws and took off the front. I replaced the drum rollers and put the new belt on the drum, looped the belt on the idler and then onto the motor pulley. I also put on two new top hold down clips as the old ones broke because they were plastic, the new ones were metal. I took off the back panel and replaced the heating element. I read the FAQ section of Appliance Pros parts web site. I found out I needed to replace the temperature control switch, WPW10248240, to correct my problem. This switch also controls the tub filling water level based on air pressure via the attached vinyl tubing. I ordered the switch and the tubing, WP353255, in case mine was no longer any good, and I also ordered the retaining clips for the control cabinet, (2) of WP8312709, because they can be damaged when accessing the controls.
