I'm not an appliance mechanic and have never worked on a dryer before, but I have worked as an instrument technician and lightly dabbled in HVAC repairs. We moved from natural gas to a new home with propane, so purchased this kit to make the conversion. Phillips head screwdriver. Unscrewed the door hinge from dryer. Removed/Unscrewed back of door panel and removed panel. Keep track of screws removed as there are two different types specific for reassembly. I unscrewed the glass panel frame which was held in place with "torx" head screws, which was not necessary. Separated back panel from front frame. Unscrewed broken door handle pieces. Replaced and screwed in place new door handle. Perfect fit. Replaced back panel to door frame and lined up... Read more

Removed LP Orifice and LP Gas limiter. Orifice was easy, however the gas limiter was the tricky one because I had no instructions to what went where. I could not find anything online as to how to convert from LP to Natural Gas, but you could find several things as to how to convert from Natural to LP. I ended up finding the Dryer schematic on line for the Whirlpool Duet natural gas dryer and was able to figure out what sequence the Spring, regulator and limiter went in. The order I just... First I watched videos about squeaking Kenmore dryers. Then I used that information to open the dryer, diagnosing the fact that the roller on the drum belt tension arm had broken and actually fallen off the arm. The dryer was filled with lint and dust/dirt, so I also saw that the seals on the dryer had deteriorated greatly. AppliancePartsPros website is outstanding, far better than its competitors. This was actually one of the easiest fixes I’ve done. All that was required was to remove 3 screws to remove the broken part. I used a pair of pliers to remove the moisture sensors from the broken part to the new one. Read more

Replaced the roller, shaft, rings and washer. After removing the back, reverse threading the nut off, discarding the old hardware and installing the new hardware back in business in about 20 minutes. Read more

Removed and replaced start switch then motor, no joy. removed the timer for disassembly, found bad contact. soldered contact to the spring tab and assembled and installed the timer. All good now. Read more

After several attempts at Local Hardware stores and Lowe's and Home Depot to find them I called AppiancePartsPros.com. I gave them the model number and what I was looking for and customer service directed me to the part on the Web site. Confirmed parts needed through online chat with tech and followed video instructions for dryer conversion. Found a video online for range conversion. Replaced orifices for stove top and adjusted oven burner orifices and air shutters and inverted pin in pressure regulator to natural gas position. All went well with no problems, about an hour and a half to gather tools and complete both jobs. Probably could be done faster but I was taking my time. Read more

One day my wife went to bake something and the bake/broil buttons as well as #3, #9, and oven light ceased to work. Local repair guy came by and wanted to charge $500 to fix it....YEAH RIGHT! Did a little homework and found this website, spoke with knowledgable staff who pointed me in the right direction. Washing machine should have been an easy fix that I had done before but ran into problems with the upper bearing and the bearing diameter on the shaft (a no go situation). By the time I was able to get the bearing seated I had damaged the new bearing. Much to my surprise Cierra in customer service sent me out a new bearing kit.
