This 3L-profile drive belt transfers motor power to the appliance's pulley system so driven components operate as designed. Replacing a worn or slipping belt restores reliable motion and helps eliminate squealing or burning-rubber odors.
Replaced transmission and support assembly. Hub nut corrode on support, spanner wrench would not loosen. Had to use 1 11/16 deep socket and impact wrench to remove, basket would not com off support even after cleaning out and soaking with penetrant and using automotive air hammer to push out. I had to cut support plate in half with die grinder, cut bearing from shaft and punch out agitator shaft then use die grinder with carbide burr to cut basket shaft in two before basket would come off... The Nut Hub is an OEM replacement part for GE top-load washing machines. This component plays an integral role during the spin cycle, transmitting rotational force from the motor to the tub for the removal of water from clothes. The Nut Hub connects directly to the drive shaft and incorporates several mounting points to securely join additional drum parts.
Causes of a bad Nut Hub can include cracks, fractures, or stripped threads due to overloading or excessive strain during spinning. Loose or ineffective connections between the Nut Hub and other components impair power transmission.
Symptoms of a bad Nut Hub include:
This OEM GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
The Front Drum Support is an OEM part for GE dryers. It supports the front of the dryer drum, allowing it to rotate smoothly during the drying cycle. This support helps maintain the drum's position and alignment, ensuring efficient and quiet operation.
You should replace the front drum support if it becomes worn out or damaged. Causes of a bad drum support can include regular wear and tear from continuous use, overloading the dryer, or debris causing friction and damage.
Symptoms of a bad front drum support include:
Initially I replaced the rear drum bearing assembly. I searched all over for a good how-to video and came across the Appliance Pros tutorial on YouTube. It was by far the easiest to understand with the added bonus that AP had the parts I needed. I had never done this before, but using the video as my guide I was able to replace the rear bearing assembly in about an hour and a half. It would've taken a little less time if I hadn't had to run to the hardware store for a T25 bit. I also could... Read more
The Flame Sensor is an OEM part for GE dryers. This part detects the presence of a flame in gas dryers, ensuring that the gas ignites properly for safe and efficient drying. Causes of a bad flame sensor can include regular wear and tear, carbon buildup from the gas flame, or electrical malfunctions. Symptoms of a bad flame sensor include:
GE Gas Dryer Model DBVH512GF1WW began to heat for only a short amount of time so drying clothes took WAY too long. Read online that the first thing to replace are the solenoids. Bought the two solenoids from AppliancePartsPros.com for about $50 total, and it seems to have fixed the problem. Had to watch a few videos to learn to disassemble the dryer, and the job took a couple of hours, but now that I know what I'm doing it could be done in less than 30 minutes. Also, the old solenoids tested... Read more
The Kit Sensor Speed is an OEM part for GE washing machines. It plays a crucial role in monitoring the drum's speed and movement, ensuring that the washer operates with optimal efficiency and precision. This sensor helps adjust the spin cycle based on the load, which is essential for proper balancing and to prevent excessive vibration and noise.
Symptoms of a failing Kit Sensor Speed include:
Causes of a bad sensor can stem from electrical faults like wiring issues or component malfunctions, physical damage from overload or impacts, or simply wear and tear over time.
The Cycling Thermostat is an OEM replacement part for GE dryers. It regulates heating element output and drum temperature during drying cycles. Maintaining proper air and drum temperatures is key to achieving thorough moisture removal from fabrics within targeted cycle times.
Causes of failure typically involve defects developing over many heat exposure and cool-down cycles. Mineral deposits accumulating on the thermostat head can also impact heat-sensing precision over extended use.
Symptoms of a bad cycling thermostat include:

I could hear the dryer motor hum, but it would not run. There was nothing obstructing the motor from turning freely so I assumed I needed a new motor. I went ahead and ordered a new pulley switch to change out while I was in there just in case. The parts arrived faster than expected. I changed the switch first and then checked the old motor which surprisingly fired right up. Now I have to decide whether to return the new motor or keep it as a spare. Read more
This pulley set screw secures the washer's drive pulley to its shaft. Replacing a stripped or missing fastener restores a solid pulley connection to help prevent belt slippage, noise, and spin or agitation issues. What it does:
Note: Newly designed cover includes 4 new rod and spring assemblies. The tub dampening straps and clips are no longer used.
This is a stacked unit so it comes apart a little different. you DO NOT have to remove the dryer unit to remove the tub assembly.the top front cabinet brace is held on with 6 screws.remove this along with the suspension rods the tub assembly comes straight out the front of the machine. Do yourself a favor and take the whole assembly out of the machine before you disassemble the inner tub. I removed the drain pump before i took the tub out as a precaution. The worst part about this job was the... Read more
