The Torx Screw is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool brand appliances. The Torx Screw is responsible for providing secure and stable connections between different components of washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, and more. These screws are characterized by their star-shaped drive design, which offers better torque transfer and reduces the risk of stripping or cam-out. Sold individually. 7-18 x 3/4"
Causes of a bad Torx screw can include stripping of the screw head, rust or corrosion from prolonged exposure to moisture, or damage from over-tightening or cross-threading. A compromised screw can lead to loose or insecure parts, which can affect the performance and safety of the appliance.
Symptoms of a bad Torx screw include:
- The screw head being stripped and difficult to turn
- Rust or corrosion visible on the screw
- The screw not holding components securely
- Loose or rattling parts within the appliance
This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

Bad spark module Dovie D. • Paradise , CA • August 25, 2014
Replaced module:
Although the new module was slightly different due to a third or ground terminal that was not on the original I managed to figured out that I did not need to worry about the ground since the existing wiring had already allowed for the connection. Easy repair.
I ordered the part one day and it was delivered the next and that was using the least expensive delivery service.
You guys are great

The front two electronic igniters on the stove top range stopped working Raymond L. • The Woodlands , TX • December 26, 2015
I called a rpair service. The men came to the house, torn apart the stove top and advised Replacement of the wire harness. The trip charge of $100 would be deducted from a repair bill of $350, thus they needed an additional $150 for parts and $100 for labor after paying the trip charge. I bought the harness for $60, and the star bits I needed for my drill for $10. My son and I installed the new harness in about 30 minutes, which included a thorough cleanup, saving us $180.
