Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You I kept getting "e90" error code and washer wouldn't start washing cycle   Richard R. • Glendora , CA • November 08, 2015

After doing online research about this particular error code I found www.appliancepartspros.com. On the site I searched my washing machine's model number and I found the correct part (in my case, it was the main control board) at a discounted price. I figured that with their no hassle return policy it was a no brainer trying to replace the part myself. The process went fairly smooth. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Odor and mold   Joel S. • Derry , NH • January 26, 2016

Our washing machine door boot seal was getting moldy and causing odor problems. Cleaning tablets and bleach weren't helping so it was time to be replaced. While I had the top and front off I changed all the hoses that could be collecting soap scum and mold, all other wetted parts were removed and washed. The video on the door boot seal, and inlet valve assembly were extremely helpful in understanding how these parts are removed and reassembled. Although the door boot seal is the most visible... • The dryer drum appears to wobble or is misaligned during operation
  • Increased vibration of the dryer, which can lead to wear on other components

Water Inlet Valve
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 134959330

This water inlet valve is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use in washing machines. Hot and cold water coming into the machine is controlled by the water inlet valve. This valve is connected to the solenoid that receives signals from the washing machine's control center to tell it when water is needed, how much water is needed, and the water temperature. The solenoid sends those signals to the valve, opening the gates to allow water to flow in until it is signaled to stop. If the washing machine is leaking water or not filling with water, the water inlet valve should be replaced.Unplug the water and power to the washing machine. Pull the machine away from the wall and remove the back panel. Disconnect the water hoses from the inlet valve and take the wires off the valve connecting it to the solenoid. Remove the old valve and install the new valve. Reconnect the wiring and water hoses. Reinstall the back cover. Turn the water and power back on and check for leaks. This water inlet valve is made of heavy-duty molded plastic and is sold individually. It is designed for washing machines manufactured by Frigidaire.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You E52 error code   Carl B. • Glendale , AZ • October 12, 2014

Hi, it's me again. So I learned a valuable appliance repair lesson when trying to fix this washing machine: don't fix something until you figure out why it broke in the first place! The first speed control board died (fixed with my last story on year) and I assumed it was just a cheap part of something, but I was in fact proved wrong when, to my dismay, the new board died a week or so later.
