Dryer not heating or flame goes out after igniting? This flame sensor monitors burner temperature to regulate gas flow. Easy 15-minute DIY repair.
Being a complete DIY I hate to call some unknown person into my home knowing that just to get them there will cost me more than I will spend for parts that I don't need. After all, they are trying to make a living and by selling me parts that I don't need will increase their profits. I've dealt with APP before and was impressed by their site because I could find both mechanical and electrical drawings for almost everything I have. I looked up my dryer, decided what was probably the problem,... Read more
Supports the rear of your dryer drum for smooth, even rotation. Replace if drum wobbles, makes noise, or doesn't turn properly. Verify fit by model number.
The dryer is a Kenmore Laundry Center, model 417-99570150. Bought in 1998, so it is an older model. Not wanting to buy the newer ones that are out now. We opted to fix the Kenmore. Just believe the older models are worth fixing, if at all possible. Frist we had to figure out what parts we would need and if the cost would be worth our time. I went on YouTube: and type in Kenmore dryer not turning on. Watched several videos to narrow down the possible problem. Next step was to... Read more
Replaces the vacuum break inlet hose connecting the water inlet to your washer tub. Needed when original hose is cracked, burst, leaking, or damaged.
First off I have to say that Appliance Parts Pro's saved me from hiring a repair person, and quite possibly just getting rid of my washing machine. Their video's helped out SOOOOOOOO much and the advice one of their agents gave me over their online chat helped me trouble shoot something when I got stuck. On top of this they shipped my parts fast enough that less than 12 hrs later they arrived, which allowed me to get my machine up and running way faster than the other options I had available.... Washer won't spin or spins slowly? This spin tube thrust washer creates a seal around the agitator shaft for proper spinning. Moderate 2-hour repair.
First I looked at the many you tube vids, and there are many. appliance parts pros pretty much shows you how to deal with the parts. I changed the brake shoes and the clutch assembly which also comes with the driver cam. I also changed the metal brake operating cam. I think that brake lockup or improper brake release was the problem that broke the plastic cam driver. This was the broken plastic part making all the ticking noise. I first changed the coupling on the motor but that wasn't bad. in... Read more
Secures suspension springs to the washer tub assembly. Replace if cracked, worn, or missing to prevent tub instability during wash and spin cycles.
When I removed the cabinet, all of the springs appeared in tact, I had already replaced the counter balance spring so I knew that was not the issue. None of the suspension springs or brackets were broken but they did look worn/rusty so I replaced all of the brackets (2 in front and 1 large in back), all of the suspension spring retainers, and all of the suspension springs and it fixed the issue! I plan to also replace the Self leveling leg spring which is an easy fix since it's on the back of... Read more

First, DO NOT call Sears for parts, their call center knows nothing about the product. App-Pros are the best for help and the right parts. I will start from the "bottom" up, the repairs were not done in this order, just a list of what I did and notes. Replaced-- motor drive coupling, (checked out transmission ok), thrust washer,... Idler arm assembly maintains drum belt tension in your dryer. Replace if the pulley is cracked, worn, or the arm is broken to restore smooth drum rotation.

Clear glass panel inside your range door. Replace if cracked, shattered, or broken. Installs between door frame layers for heat retention and viewing.
I am a 42 year-old, reasonably handy woman with limited strength and a little arthritis in my hands, and I managed this all on my own, just. fine. Prep: Put an old blanket on a counter, because you will need to put the door OUTSIDE UP, INSIDE down on it with the hinges dangling over the edge of the counter. You will also need degreaser (I used straight white vinegar) if you want to clean things up while you have it taken apart. You will also need glass cleaner (or use vinegar and a microfiber...
