Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Slow water delivery from dispenser on door   Robert G. • Baton Rouge , LA • August 16, 2015

First I replaced the filter thinking it was the problem, but that was not the case. Next was replace water supply valve at the back of the refrigerator. It was very easy. The only thing that was in question was how to get the refrigerator side line off of the existing valve. There is a plastic slide clip that you remove and pull the line out and press the line back into the port it came out of. It was a very simple project and took about 20 minutes. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Water tank assembly leaking   Mark Y. • Ballinger , TX • August 22, 2016

Replaced tank assembly. Actually I think the supply hose was originally not fully seated in the tank and I think I could have re-seated it deeper through the gray bushing. When I set the line into the new tank, still leaking. Pulled out supply line and reset using a little more force and line went into the tank. Took the bushing clip off the other tank and used it for the supply line bushing. So far, no leaks. The thing to remember is to push the edges of each hose bushing inward to pull... Read more

By: Lg
Part Number: 5007JA3006R

The Ice Chute Door is an OEM part for LG refrigerators. It is located in the ice dispenser area on the front of the refrigerator. Symptoms of a bad ice chute door may include:

  • Difficulty in dispensing ice
  • Frost or condensation forming around the ice chute area
  • The door not opening or closing smoothly or completely

This OEM LG part can also be used on Kenmore/Sears appliances.

Ice Maker Assembly,Kit
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: AEQ73110219

The Ice Maker Assembly kit is an OEM replacement part for LG refrigerators. Symptoms of a problematic ice maker include:

  • Incomplete or below-normal ice production
  • Ice cubes appearing oddly shaped or cloudy
  • Strange noise or vibrations heard from inside the freezer
  • Dispenser not functioning or unresponsive

This part is also compatible with some models from Sears/Kenmore.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Our water dispenser stopped working and the ice maker stopped working also   Neil R. • Saint Louis , MO • March 11, 2016

Once I was convinced that the water supply and filter wasn't the problem, I took the back protective panel and looked at the valve assembly. It looked corroded, especially on top where the ?pistons for the solenoids?would project into. I ordered the part and it was on my doorstep in TWO days...really fast. Lg Lt500p Refrigerator Water Filter
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: ADQ72910911

The LG Refrigerator Water Filter is an OEM Replacement Part. It is designed to improve the quality of water and protect refrigerators and ice machines from sediment deposits. This NSF-Certified filter effectively reduces iron and particulates. It also preserves beneficial minerals like fluoride. The filter measures 5.6 inches high and 3.3 inches in diameter.

It is installed by removing the top shelf and pulling the old filter downward. Then turn it counter-clockwise, and replace it with the new filter aligned in a horizontal position. To ensure the best performance and the removal of trapped air and contaminants, it's recommended to flush the dispenser with 2.5 gallons of water in alternating cycles. If your model includes a water filter indicator, press and hold the Filter or Reset button for 5 seconds after installation. With a lifespan of 6 months and a 500-gallon capacity, this filter provides both quality and longevity.
