I opened the cover panel of the control board. I visually checked for burns on the board and verified all connectors were firmly seated. I found a YouTube video, order the parts about midnight Saturday and-they came in the mail before lunch on Tuesday. I set the washer back up, reattached the water lines, placed the drain tube, and plugged in back in. Works like new !!! 30 minutes... Read more
If your washer won't spin or switch from wash to spin cycle, the shift actuator likely needs replacement. This repair requires tipping the washer.

Washer won't start, spin, or complete cycles? A faulty main control board often causes these issues. Moderate DIY repair, typically under 30 minutes.
GE Washer m/n GTW460ASJ6WW would allow other fill levels, but when set to "super" it would never stop filling. Checked water inlet valve (by initiating a fill and unplugging the unit) to see if the inlet valve was sticking open, that was not the issue. Decided to replace the board even though it is a significant fraction of the cost of a new washer. Local appliance stores didn't have the board but APP did, and of course, they are open 24/7 while my local part stores have decided the weekend is... Read more

Using repair help suggestions from other users and youtube, I narrowed it down to the transmission (part #320) mainly because it was a metal-to-metal noise. The parts came in one day, thank you AppliancePartsPros.com. I installed the transmission but the noise was still there. Unfortunately, I didn't investigate enough and found a youtube video that suggested it could be the mode shifter (part #325) and that's what it was. I still saved money because having a service tech fix this problem... Read more

Ordered new valve assembly, part arrived 2-3 days, installed part same day it arrived. Some difficulty getting to the two screws holding it in due to small area to work.
