James T Lady Lake , FL March 07, 2021 Water inlet valve had a steady leak, apparently had failed some time ago. Ordered new valve assembly, part arrived 2-3 days, installed part same day it arrived. Some difficulty getting to the two screws holding it in due to small area to work. Once that was figured out, reinstall went very smoothly, total time about one hour. Probably saved a couple of hundred if I had to hire a plumber to fix it, plus the parts. Very satisfied with the service. Philip T Irmo , SC February 04, 2023 Water was dripping into the washing machine and I found that the water valve assembly went bad. I unscrewed 6 screws on the back of my GE washing machine and pulled the front forward on the top panel. First, you need to turn off the water at the wall and unplug the machine. When I could see the inside of the panel, I could see the water valve. I unscrewed 2 screws and the valve easily pulled out. I inserted the new valve and screwed it in. Replaced the back panel and repositioned the front panel and screwed back the 6 screws, I reattached the hoses and screwed the 6 screws back in. Then I turned on the water and put the power plug back in. It works like new. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers
