Cleaned off the oil or grease that somehow was all over the drive belt. Installed new drive belt. Installed 2 new left (blue) and 2 new right (red) rod and spring assembly. This fixed the out of balance issue during spin cycle. Read more

First it was covered under warranty. They sent a repair person out and he said it had an extra washer holding the tub down to the transmission. He removed the washer and it worked for about a month then the same thing started happening again. I took the washer apart and realized it was missing the washer hub which holds the tub off the bottom. Problem is fixed now, go GE. Maybe include all the parts in your washing machines. Read more

Before buying a new ($1200) washer, I found the trouble shooting guide and decided to check if my problem was a simple fix or a complicated procedure... turns out it was the simple fix. Removing the agitator was the hardest part, it lifted straight up, but took some muscle and a belt for leverage. Then I had to remove one bolt, lift off the damaged part, and put the new part on with the one bolt. Done. Works perfectly. Read more

I replaced the water level switch and hose. After removing the hose, I found that it was clogged, and did not allow the water level to be sensed by the switch. A test after the replacement of the parts was successful. While filling the tub, the water shut off at the small, medium, and large levels as indicated by the switch. Read more

Using repair help suggestions from other users and youtube, I narrowed it down to the transmission (part #320) mainly because it was a metal-to-metal noise. The parts came in one day, thank you AppliancePartsPros.com. I installed the transmission but the noise was still there. Unfortunately, I didn't investigate enough and found a youtube video that suggested it could be the mode shifter (part #325) and that's what it was. I removed the dial knob and plate as instructed by the video, removed the front panel of the washer to access the switch. I found the plastic molded bracket that the timer rests on to be broken and the tab on the timer where it is attached by a screw to be broken. I ordered a replacement switch, dial and knob. When it arrived I replaced the parts as instructed, but I had to use super glue to hold the new switch in place due to the support tab on the washer panel being broken off. After letting...
