While at my sister's house, she showed me how to access & dismantle the housing unit on her dishwasher, thinking the issue might be from that area. So, when I came home, I opened up my housing unit and found that several of the screws had come out and the pump outlet seal was stretched out and partially outside of the unit itself. I located all of the missing screws & discovered I was still missing one, which my husband helped me order with the pump outlet seal. I easily replaced the old seal... Read more

Fix dishwasher overflows and leaks with a new float assembly. Controls water level to prevent overfilling. Moderate DIY repair with video guide.
Removed bottom cover, located leak at float switch, removed and replaced float switch kit. The toughest part of the repair was removing the Float & Retainer Assembly (in the interior of the machine tank) which broke when I pushed it back and pulled it straight up as suggested in the service manual. The Float Switch Kit (attached to, and below the float, below and outside the tank) has a folding plastic cover which fastens with plastic clips. If you open the switch kit before removing the... Dishwasher leaking from bottom or making grinding noise? The sump housing often cracks or wears out. Moderately difficult repair, about 45 minutes.
I noticed the floor around the dishwasher was starting to get wet and warp the wooden floor. The chopper had gotten out of line and had cut a pinhole into the sump housing and the dishwasher was leaking badly. It was quite easy to repair. Just unhook the drain hose and the wire connectors, twist off the turbidity sensor and waste motor, pull out the shims and the whole assemple comes up and out. The hardest part was pulling the motor off of the assembly, since I wasn't sure if I needed to... Read more

Gray plastic pivot clip for dishwasher upper rack tine rows. Replaces broken, cracked, or missing pivots that prevent tines from adjusting properly.
With the basket out of the dishwasher, the plastic parts basically snap on and off... popped the broken parts off and the new parts on. The 2 wheel and mount assemblies were a little more complicated. The video on the website advises to disconnect the supply line and drain line... I didn't have to do this. I just pulled the dishwasher out of its cabinet a little over a foot and removed the 2 screws holding each assembly in place and removed them. The previous gaskets (2 PER ASSEMBLY)... Read more
Dishwasher not heating or drying properly? This heater probe shield protects temperature sensors and nearby components from heat damage for accurate sensing.
A bit of searching on the internet narrowed the problem down to either the heating element or the control board. As I am not much of a diagnostician I decided to replace both. Along this same line, I would never have attempted these repairs if it hadn't been for the clear, easy to understand repair videos provided for each part. Further, my decision to do my own repairs was made easier because the prices of the parts was so reasonable. I took my time, reviewed the videos and replaced the... Read more
