Dishwasher not filling with water? A faulty water inlet valve prevents water flow during wash cycles. DIY-friendly repair in about 15 minutes.
Cycle would complete but dishes weren't clean (not even really wet) and soap wasn't dissolving. Could hear fill at start but maybe not spraying or filling again in cycle. Looking underneath the pump had somehow become dislodged from the bottom of dishwasher and was laying on... Read more

Dishwasher not filling with water or leaking when off? The water inlet valve controls flow during wash cycles. DIY repair typically under 30 minutes.
First I cleared the food chopper area. There were things there, bits of plastic for instance, but it wasn't the reason for the dishes not getting sprayed off. The dishwasher continued to only partially fill and not circulate the water. I started the dishwasher, let the pump start and then opened the door and filled up the dishwasher manually.
